How blue the ocean.
How clear her waters. How worn the shell.
Yet not her spiral. I find a place. I settle. I wait. Time stands still.

Today was such a Beautiful Day.

Spring is truly in the air in Sydney. The strong swirling winds have calmed down. The sky is bright blue. All the blossom trees are in full bloom.

It rained last night. Very gently for a few minutes.

I walk barefoot on the ground: The grass is shrivelled brown. The earth is bone dry. Gathered some pink apple blossoms.

Replaced some of the stones around the edges of the 'rock-pool' in the sand ~ With some of the ancient shells from Shell Harbour. How I love these shells.

Had an unexpected phone consultation with Nancy Parker, the owner of 'Shell Essences' and author of the book 'Messages from Shells.’ Nancy intuited a specific blend of Shell Essences for me. Looking forward to starting it early next week.

Shell Essencse are vibrational remedies created by a method similar to that pioneered by Dr. Bach of Bach Flower Remedies. Source: Shell Essences.

Each Shell Essence is made from an energy imprint contained within the calcium body of a specific and very special individual shell or fossil. Their vibration resonates with the vibrational pattern of our cells, correcting imbalances within our rhythm of life. Source: Shell Essences.

Added a new ephemeral layer of floating blossoms on top of the 'rock-pool' in the sand. Photographed for dmcamera's White is White.

Played with the hue, saturation and luminance of aqua and blue in LightRoom: To give the feeling of still water covering the seabed.

About my work.

In my studio, I create small ephemeral pieces from flowers and plants combined with other natural materials that I find in the bushland or surrounding urban streets. ~Ally.

I love the ‘contemplative’ nature of the Japanese Zen sand/rock gardens as well as the ‘mystical’ nature of ancient sacred circles. The influence of both have been in my drawings, sculpture and now these sand ephemeral works. ~Ally.

A lovely and joyful representation of the sea! 💙 tip!

Thanks so very much Melinda.

Generally I disassemble a background like this after I've photographed it with a variety of added 'layers.'

But with this 'Heart in the sand' background, I can't bring myself to doing that ~ Instead I just add more items to it. This time it was the large ancient shells.

Eventually it will become so over-done that it will fall apart of its own 'will.' I aways know when that time has come and help it along its way. 🦋

PS: Thanks so much for the tip from @tipu Melinda. Delighted to receive it on behalf of 'How Blue the Ocean' 🦋

Beautiful work! I love using natural materials and arranging them for works of art too.

Wow! I really love the colour of the stones . I myself a stones collector and would post my collections in my future postings . Cheers from Borneo! @madeve

Thanks @madeve. You can see the original colour of this work in my latest article: 'Spinning'

For this image I experimented with the reduction and selection of colour and then played with the hue and luminance in Lightroom.

I'll look forward to seeing something of your stone collection now. 🦋

I love the glare of light in your photo, it adds the impression of glow under the water ;))) UP my dear

Thank you so very much Margaret.

I work with natural light, coming in through the window of my studio, as it moves across the table (that the assemblage is on) during the day ~ Shifting the assemblage so that the light falls where it gives this beautiful glow. 🦋

How lovely to hear that. I wish I could see your studio. Great work my friend. I love it ;)) Keep posting I am your big fun ;))

I'll have to take a photograph of my studio for you sometime Margaret. Motivation to have a BIG tidy up. 🦋

It is so beautiful, I am intrigued by the shell essences. I love making essences from my herbs and flowers, shells make so much sense too, all is energy. resteemed

So pleased you like the new additions of the ancient seashells @sunscape. I feel these old shells, that have had the ocean water running over them for tens maybe hundreds of years, would have to be a 'powerhouse' of amazing energy.

I've known about the shell essences since the late 90s when I was painting on silk. At the time I was attempting to instill the energy of the our wildflowers into the painting and I was also making essenses from the flowers.

Totally absorbed by the flowers and their essences, I didn't really connect with the shells and their essences ~ Until now.

So heart-warming to hear that you also make essenses from your own herbs and flowers. Why am I not surprised? 😊

I love how we both appreciate and connect with all aspects of nature. I make a wonderful essence for clearing the Aura Body with my white sage, rosemary, pine and rose scent. It is incorporated into a crystal essence I charge at the equinoxes and eclipses. I love to use smokey quartz, Blue kyanite, lemurian quartz, Amethyst and Black Tourmaline. The spray is amazing with the intention for cleansing the Aura. See, now that I have seen your post with the shells, I am feeling a Goddess of the Sea spray in my mind. I have an ocean grid in my bedroom full of shells I collected from around the worlds travels. It has a whale and dolphins out of crystal in the middle..... Hmmm feeling it!

Hey you, habla Español?

This is beautiful in turquoise ! Very energizing for me is this colour ^_^
I didn't know the shell's essences, I 'm familiar with the bach flower remedies and know that you can make remedies not only with flowers, but with the spirit of animals, stones, places, so I'm not suprised with the shells....will you give some feedback about the personal mix your friend did for you ? =))
Have a wonderful day my dear, I take this post of #beautifulday with me

This is magic!! My compliments for this one!

Thanks so very much @joetravels. Aqua blue brings a lot of 'magic' into our world. 🦋

Pleased you like it @olgy-art.

Oh, whoa...............! I am swooning over the colours - are they really that colour, @allyinspirit? Oh, my! 😍

Jay it's SO wonderful to see you again. Thanks for visiting. From time to time I visited you ~ But you weren't there. Really missed you. It's so lovely to reconnect now.

I had a break for about 8 months, and have been back now for about 3 months. Loving it all the more for having been away.

This colour in this image is quite a change from the original: Included in 'Spinning.' I edit my images in Lightroom. With this one I experimented with the hue, saturation and luminance until the magic of aqua appeared.

I've just read your article on barefooting. I've been barefooting for more than 10 years now too. Although I do tend to molly coddle my feet just for a few weeks in mid winter. 🦋

Awww, thank you for the welcome back, Ally <3 I'm really touched that you checked on me whilst I was gone! Like you, I'm feeling quite refreshed after my Steemit break and I'd really like to contribute something of value here; so it's such a boost to hear that you feel I was/am doing that. I really enjoyed our interactions previously - it was a real highlight on Steemit for me. So I'm sending you a big old fist-bump 👊😄, and hugs!

I use Lightroom, too. It's an awesome program, isn't it?! And I'm loving what you did here with these beautiful stones and shells - those aquas are just gorgeous! I don't know whether you're aware of my love affair with stones, but I'm positively swooning over these!

And I'm delighted to know that you enjoy barefooting, too - kindred spirits, we are <3

xx
