Spider in the Bedroom

I was lying in bed the other night, half asleep, when I noticed a spider looking down at me. It had crawled out of the air vent on the wall. Judging by the webs, it had obviously been coming out for at least a few nights. I couldn't miss the opportunity for a photo so off I went to find my camera. The spider appears to be the Black House spider (Badumna insignis). So, if it's bed time in your part of the world, remember to keep one eye open as you never know what is lurking around. Good night. Pleasant dreams!

The photos below were taken with a Canon 7D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens.
