Last Sunday, I met an acquaintance when I was shopping. Ten years ago, she owned a photocopy shop.

I flashed over her, a 40-year-old woman, who seemed very smart. She told me that she was now working in a well-known company in the city and had recently promoted to be a department director.

Ten years ago, she not only need to manage the photocopy shop, after work, busy doing housework, tutoring her primary school son, but every day, she will pick up a book, study a few pages, do a few questions. I was surprised that she was more than 30 years old when she was preparing for a degree, was it not too late? When she got her certificate, she was already 40 years old. Besides, she has a good business, and her husband has a steady income, is it necessary to get a certificate?

She says it's a little old to get a certificate. In fact, she wanted to apply two years ago, but because of scruples about age, she hesitated. Two years have passed, now think about it, if she was determined, she already achieve the goal two years earlier.

So she decided to start from now. She did not want to wait another two years and then regret again.

Later, she got the certificate. As there are more and more photocopy shop opened around the area, her shop's business gradually deserted, but she was flattered in the study. When a middle-aged woman who same age as her is playing mahjong, watching TV, shopping, she is trying to improve her ability. At the old age of ease, she did not choose to be at ease.

Later, she closed the store and started a new life. When I met her again, she was a department head of a large company. Now come to think about it, 30 something years old participates in the degree course, 40 years old got the certificate, in fact, it is not too late.

I knew a friend who was fascinated by dancing at the age of 37. She wanted to go to the dance class, but voices around her disagree with her, everyone asked her: You missed the best age to learn dancing, you might hurt your ligament. Is your pose looks good? When facing the doubt, she also wanted to give up.

But one time, she met a 58-year-old woman in the dance room, learned to dance for three years, her dance skills are better than teenage girls, every movement is stunning. She was so surprised with her movement.

That woman told her that when she starts learning to dance, she was also objected to by the whole family, even some people said was ashamed of her, overconfident wanted to learn the trend of young people. But she felt that since she wanted to learn now, that was the best timing. It just takes more time and sweat than others. How can you be reconciled to what you want to do if you don't try?

My friend decided to sign up dance class that day. A few years later, she led the dance performance team in the provincial competition and won the second prize.

There is nothing is too late, start from now, is the best time.

What trapped us is never our age, but our attitude towards age. We always thought it was too late, but it was with such a sigh that we missed the chance to start now.

But later we found out that it was not too late. If start from then, we already achieve what we wanted, thereupon, again sigh regret.

There is a good saying: age is never a boundary unless you put yourself in a dilemma.

For the time that has been wasted, regret has no meaning, as from now on, ten years, 20 years later, you will be grateful to the present self. Fortunately, chose to start at not the best age, or life is really only left regret.
