Papa Rodin Rambles - Another day another dawn
Greetings, Steemians and Steemettes!
This post will be a bit shorter than usual. Consider it to be an update to yesterdays. Or a continuation. Consider it to be whatever you want it to be.
50 Greyshades of Rodin
Good morning!
It's 7.36 am as I start writing this post. I have been awake since 5.00 or 6.00 am. It's funny how you sometimes get out of your bed in the morning much better and earlier than you would have if you had to go to work, right?
As I told yesterday, today isn't going to be a working day for me. In a couple minutes, after finishing this post, I will stand up, take a shower, get dressed and leave the house. I want to feel fresh when the butcher slices me up like a pig. For those who don't know me, "butcher" is what I call surgeons. No idea when and how I started doing that, but it became second nature for me.
I don't know how fit or unfit I will be afterwards, so there may be a chance that I won't be able to post later today which is why I am doing it now. Just for you. I hope that I will find it in me to post something else later as well though.
So how was my morning?
I used the opportunity of getting up early and being able to leave late to get some responding and commenting done around here done. Felt like I wasn't doing that bit justice these last couple days, so being able to dedicate a bit of time for that felt good.
Just to give some people an idea on how engagement can look if you really put your mind into it. Usually, there are a lot of small author and curation rewards and upvotes sprinkled in, but I just left them out because I wanted to focus on what's important, the engagement.
Anything else?
Well, yes, actually. When I was writing some of these comments, another thing that occured to me that would make Steemit a better place would be a rework to the way resteems are being displayed. I am actually not a big fan of resteeming because it clogs your own blogging space with foreign content. Call me weird but this blog is "my space" (lol) and I want it to be about me. But I also want to be able to resteem and have these resteems be an extension of my blog without it taking anything away from my own work.
My solution is somewhat simple:
The "my blog" page should be a double column. Left column should be my own blog posts, as per usual, while the right column should only contain posts that I resteemed. That way, the two concepts would actually synergize with each other instead of working against one another.
Like this, basically. It would also look quite cool this way, wouldn't it? Would you like it being displayed like this?
I know I would. Of course, it would need to be actually coded.
Pictures taken from my own blog by the way.
And that is all for the moment.
I will return once I am feeling better, whenever that will be. Until then, keep on pushing and give it your all around here! I will see you later.
Off to the butcher I go! Talking about feeling like a lamb being brought to the slaughterhouse.
