Wealth and purity is the protection of the beautiful city of Zurich

I am still in my story about Switzerland, which is also called the land of chocolate and cheese.

After five years spent at Valis in Zermatt, my husband and I moved to the city of Zurich (Zürich) in the year 2000, where we gained a more extensive possibility of work and a different life, as opposed to than the one provided by Zermatt.

Zurich is located on the banks of the rivers Limat (Limmat), Sil (Sihl) and the beautiful Zurich lake (Zürichsee). The Zurich lake is ideal for excursions. In addition to the beautiful restaurants and the garden there are also lots of greenery and lots of relaxation beaches, and it is best to go by boat, then you can see everything along its shores. My son and I drove over the boat several times and enjoyed the view of Zurich from this angle. I must tell you that along the north side of the lake there are very nice houses and villas that one ordinary worker can never afford, because they are very expensive. In the eastern part there is Raperswil (Rapperswil) and a beautiful castle, which I have not managed to visit all these years, unfortunately. 

The old city of Zurich is very interesting - along the street are the restaurants and shops themselves. There are many preserved churches as well as beautiful fountains and monuments. Not far from the old town, perhaps a few minutes away, there is a railway station, across from Banofstrasse (Bahnhofstrasse), where there are shopping centers, shops of famous creators, luxurious hotels and restaurants. The prices are very high, especially in this part of the city, you can afford something, because some also have decent prices, and there is a lot to do with the reduction, for example, when the winter season or flight ends, otherwise Zurich is considered more expensive city in Europe. But, for some time we enjoyed long walks, and also by driving trams, otherwise my son loves driving by any means of transport, does not choose :-).

There are also many museums in Zurich. One of the most famous is Kunsthaus, or in translation, a house of culture. Overwhelmed with my duties and work, I did not visit her, but, when I thought better, I should always have nice memories with me. Although, it's never too late to go back and visit everything we did not succeed while we worked and lived in Switzerland.

The best of all is their chocolate - the most famous are the Sprungli Firm, who make art works (various figures) from chocolate, which we would decorate tables during Christmas holidays, various grandparents, deer, bells and many other fine details, which would conjure up a true Christmas delicacy for the whole family. I have to mention one special speciality, which is fond of (Fondue), of chocolate, you can experience every fruit wrapped in a chocolate overflow - a phenomenal taste for everyone who loves sweet.

It is also known for its variety of cheeses. I did not try everything, because I did not like it at first glance :-). There were also budding cheeses, even those who had unpleasant smells! There are many and very expensive, which is the price, but not for my taste. The best one was the one with the walnut, and in the winter we enjoyed a racket cheese (Raclette käse), it's a very famous Swiss specialty - a cheese that melts under the grill, or in restaurants, the whole half of the whole cheese circle, from the top melts a special grill for this, and thus served melted with cooked potatoes, sour cucumbers and a small acid black onion, the size of the marbles. In addition, a white wine is drunk, of course, who likes wine, and otherwise the soda is not recommended, because your stomach will fill you up when the cheese sticks with gas from carbonated drinks ;-) We also adore the Käsefondue, which is served on a fire in a special bowl, and as long as there is a long, special fork for the Fond, the bread that cuts into small cubes dies, and so everyone present at the table dips into the bowl of hot melted cheese. The phenomenal taste, which gives this hot warming agent, and additionally adds alcohol, as an example of Schnaps, for adults. Of course, there are many other specialities, but these are some of the most used by restaurants, and home, especially in winter, when it's cold outside.

We also visited the zoo in Zurich, which is considered the best and most beautiful in Europe. There are many animals from different parts of the world, as well as domestic animals. 

On our day we went to the zoo and was not really fit for walking started raining and we could not really enjoy the tour, and my son likes driving in a variety of means of transport rather than animal sighting :-)

Switzerland is one of the best-placed countries and executives in which everything functions like the Swiss watch - at least until now ... and who knows for the future.
