I Was There (An Original Short Poem)
I was there.
But not completely.
I was ruined and
torn and injured.
I took refuge in my
mental cave and
nursed my scars to
heal themselves.
I came out different
on the other side.
My injuries a proud
reminder.
You may have
inflicted the wounds.
But the beast
shut them close.
Now my antlers
rule the jungle and
my hooves
dust the earth.
nice poem. Are you a deer? :)
