The Pyramids and their mysteries. More questions than answers.

When people hear pyramids they often think of The great pyramid of Giza but there are in fact hundreds of pyramids or pyramid like structures dotted around the world.

Considered one of the greatest phenomena of the world pyramids have been built by many ancient cultures from every corner of the globe.
Whilst many people believe they were once burial grounds for kings,queens and the wealthiest of society this has been difficult to prove as not a single mummy has been found within the pyramids. Some argue that grave-robbers may of gotten to them and removed the bodies but the only real evidence they were used as tombs is the instructions on the walls that explain to the dead pharaoh how to pass into the afterlife. While they may well of been tombs there is much debate about it to this day.

The pyramids have raised more questions than answers for ancient scholars and we still seem to know so little about them, one of the greatest discoveries about the pyramid of Giza is that it actually has 8 sides... yes 8.

The four faces of the pyramid are slightly concave, the only pyramid to have been built this way. The very precise indentation cannot be seen from up close, nor from far away but in fact can only be seen from the sky and can only be seen at dawn and sunset on the spring and autumn equinoxes, when the sun casts shadows on the pyramid.

Many of the pyramids from around the world are also aligned with the stars, for example the 3 pyramids of Giza align with Orions belt, and not only those but another set of pyramids found in Teotihuacan share the same astronomical anomaly.

Another of the amazing attributes of the great pyramid of Giza is the exact precision and measurements at which it was built. Twice the perimeter of the bottom of the granite coffer times 10^8 is the sun’s mean radius and the height of the pyramid times 10**9 = Avg distance to the sun. Not only that but the great pyramid of Giza is considered one of the most perfectly aligned structures to ever exist facing true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. Taking into account that the north pole moves very slightly over time it was once indeed perfectly aligned.
Another astonishing fact is that the great pyramid is the exact center of land mass on earth, one spot is in the ocean and the other is where the pyramid is located.

A research project named ScanPyramids aiming to identify interior anomalies of the pyramid of Giza using a mix of infrared thermography, muon radiography, and 3-D reconstruction, were able to identify certain spots on one side of the pyramid that are definitively different to the other.

Other strange things about the pyramids are how an ancient civilization could possibly of built such a mega-structure given their limited technology and the immense size of the blocks, some weighing as much as 80 tons and brought from quarries up to 500 miles away.

While some answers are there e.g moving the massive limestone blocks using wet sand, many more are yet to be answered and there is of course debate that maybe these pyramids were built by some ancient alien civilization(lol)
While the Egyptian government puts limits to how much exploration can be done we are also limited by our current technology, i mean who knows maybe in 50 years all the these questions will be answered, but for now they remain one of the greatest mysteries of our time.
