Life has many paths that can be followed, but the path to the heart is the longest of them all. Even though we only have one word for it (LOVE), in their pursuit of wisdom and self understanding, the ancient Greeks found out that humans experience eight different types of love at some point in their lives.

The eight different types of love existing in this world found by the ancient Greek are:-

  1. Eros or Erotic love

  2. Philia or Affectionate love

  3. Storge or Familiar love

  4. Agape or Selfless love

  5. Pragma or Enduring love

  6. Philautia or Self love

  7. Ludus or Playful love

  8. Mania or Obsessive love

Given the difference in our different types of learning and assimilation abilities, this is for people who prefer pictures.

We can become conscious of how deep our connection is to ourselves and the other people in our lives by understanding the different types of love that exists in this world.
My future posts will try to explain each type of love for better understanding.
