맥도날드 해피밀을 고소한 남자의 이야기
안녕하세요
맥도날드가 그 동안 커피가 필요이상으로 뜨겁다고 , 냅킨을 계속 주지않는다고 , 또 햄버거를 먹고 살이 쪘다는 이유 등으로 소송을 당해 거액을 보상하기도 하였는데요, 이번에는 해피 밀입니다. 해피 밀을 먹었는데도 전혀 우울증세가 호전되지않아서 소송을 결심했다고 합니다.
소송의 나라 미국답게 많은 회사들이 소송을 당하지 않도록 많은 노력을 하고 있지만, 쉽지만은 않는 것 같습니다.
Washington D.C.- Some people take marketing campaigns very seriously.
This is the case of Ruben Caradehuevo, a depressed man that sued McDonalds for about $1.5 million dollars because after he ate his happy meal, he was still depressed.
The incident happened in a McDonald’s establishment in Washington D.C. Caradehuevo bought his happy meal for dinner, after a long day at work.
According to him, he was “very depressed and very stressed out”. He claims he wasn’t thinking right, because he had many problems.
“I bought my happy meal, thinking that that would be the perfect solution for my depression”, Caradehuevo relates. He kept going: “I started eating and I was half way done, but my depression was still there”, he states.
After finishing his food, the depression hadn’t still gone away, and he got really pissed.
“Even an hour after finishing my food, I still was depressed. So I decided to sue McDonalds.”.
The trial will be the next 15th of July, and the man already has several attorneys to help him win the case.

소비자나 시민은 신고와 고소를 할 권리가 있는데 우리나란 그런 고소나 신고를 하면 나댄다고 하고 그냥 넘어갈 문제를 왜 들추냐고 하더군요.
이런 터무니없어보이는 소송이 간혹 있긴 하지만, 기본적인 소비자에 대한 권익은 차이가 아직은 큰 것 같습니다.
소비자를 자본 쟁취의 원천으로 생각하는 기업들에게 소비자가 무서운줄 알아야 합니다.
말씀을 듣고 든 생각인데.. 어찌보면 미국의 경우처럼 변호사가 판을 키워 소송을 부추기는 것 또한 초기에는 필요한 것일지도 모르겠습니다.
그럴수도 있갰군요. 이 문제는 시각이 조금 틀립니다.
