Hey! I'm New on Steem and My Wife Thinks Its Garbage!
Greetings from Tambov, Russia! We are an American family of six souls, livin' the dream in the former USSR. I'm trying to convince my wife that Steemit is freakin' awesome but nothing is taking. She is a talented writer and I strongly believe that she could bring much value to the lives in the Steemit community and beyond! However, despite my smooth talking and logical reasoning she is still convinced that Steemit is rubbish. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on how to turn the light bulb on in her beautiful mind. Please include links to current articles that may be motivating. Many Thanks!!

@onelife4oneworld, my wife can't wrap her mind around stem, yet.
Start connecting with people by commenting and answering replies. Once you get some followers who are interacting with you, then I think that you should ask your wife to run an experiment with you, maybe 3 weeks to start.
Repurpose some of your wife's existing content, and let her see how well it is received on Steemit.
Then ask that she write something original for Steemit.
I would recommend building a following first so that you can see some traction for the first few posts that she is a part of.

You need to do a little experimenting. Try Steem for a month before you get some serious opinions. I agree that Steem does look like a scam or something that will only waste your time but it is one of the best things on the internet right now.
If you love Reddit and are a social freak, then you need to join Steem and work on it.
