Introducing myself - So this is me :)

Hello all Steemian neighbors  from around the world! I'd like to introduce myself here, in this amazing  new world I've only recently found out about.

My husband has been telling me about Steemit  for quite a while and even told me that he's sure I'll love  it once I actually get into it. Well, I was skeptic at first but it didn't take long. He was right, I gave it a try, started to read all about this platform and quite a few interesting posts on topics that I related to, and, well,  I was hooked. I never saw myself as a blogger nor  as a person who talks about myself on social media so it took me a while  to post my first post (which, by the way, made a huge  $0.07! :) ) and then my second one...  but after procrastinating enough, I am totally putting myself out here and going to (FINALLLY!) tell you a few facts about myself:

                                         So this is me:

![20170817_171515.jpg]()

- I turned 36 years old 2 weeks ago

- I found myself an amazing partner for life

- I'm a mother of 2 cutties

- I LOVE : Animals, Spring, traveling, prefer the beach over pool, going to the movies or even just watching them at home after kids are asleep, I also love Skiing (tried snowboarding a few times but after finding myself constantly whimpering, bruised and crawling around in the snow, I decided to go back to what I love, and that's definitely skiing!) I  LOVE cappuccino - but I try to break it down to once a day... oh, and recently I started running. I never  understood people who said they are addicted to the feeling .. But NOW I do! Its so much fun:)

- My profession is a pediatric ICU nurse. Since we arrived to Australia I haven't gotten back to that... yet... So, till then, I'm enjoying the time that I have and using it wisely to be with my family, learning new things, meeting new people, traveling around and of course enjoying my passion and doing LOTS of cooking and baking (not that I have a choice-  now that my parents don't live 5 min away from me anymore, no one brings me food in plastic Tupperware anymore! :))  Which is what brings me to ...

Why I am here: My love and passion for cooking started since I can remember myself. I grew up on delicious middle eastern food from my mom and grandmothers and I am constantly picking up more delicious recipes from anywhere I can.

I love to cook and bake many great recipes from my family and many new ones that I have gathered along the years. My favorite part of the cooking is seeing the food being eaten away with pleasure :)  So for me- being here is an opportunity to share that pleasure with everyone!  Hope you'll love it

I have already posted 2 recipes on my page :

The Amazing Crumble Cream Cake :https://steemit.com/food/@cooknbake/amazing-crumble-cream-cake

and Delicious Homemade Meatballs:  https://steemit.com/food/@cooknbake/mamas-meatballs

. Please check them out and I'll be more than happy to hear what you think or share any variations or ideas you may have :)

Looking forward to hear from you !

Wow! I didn't think I'd write so much! :D

Welcome to steemit :D

Welcome to the Steemit community @cooknbake.

This is so valuable.

Hello @cooknbake ! I followed you and UpVoted you!
Very cool that you are here! Steem on!
I wish you happiness! You will be happy on SteemIt! More recipes please!

Hello @igor-steem, I'm happy to hear! More on the way very very soon, I promise!
The next post is being "cooked up " as we speak! bare with me :)

I'm brand new to this platform and still learning about it. Love your posts! You're inspiring me to put myself out there and be consistent about it. Thanks!

Wow, Thank you for your lovely comment @functionalwoman !😁 I never saw myself as a blogger but I love it here! And yes, consistency and patience is what you need but most of all just do it to ENJOY IT 🤗 ! Good luck! Waiting to see more of your posts😁

Welcome to Steemit @cooknbake - I'm a big fan of both Australia and Israel - I just posted a pic of Jerusalem this morning after my last trip to Haifa there a few months back. Great to have yet another beaming smile here on Steemit :D If you need any help just shout "Hey @mindhunter, HELP?!!" Cool. Steem on!

Ohhh, I will check it out! Thank you and ill keep you in mind for that shout out! 😀

P.S. Apologies @cooknbake! I forgot to UV/RS your post - done now!😀

I appreciate it thank you ! 🤗
By the way, tough one, I love both BUT if I had to choose, I think I would go witb Brisbane, I preffer the pace here more :)

Me too @cooknbake! Go Troppo!! Those Queenslanders are madder than a bag 'o cut snakes, so they go well with us Scots ;) I never met a Queenslander I didn't like! I've even got some Bundy squirrelled away in my home! :) Steem on!

Yeah, if I was a city I'd be either Haifa or Brisbane. Haifa is one of the most underrated cities in the Middle East, and the Brisvegas pace as people cross the road is just the right pace for me :) Steem on cooknbake!

Nice welcome to the revolution✊@cooknbake

Welcome to Steemit! Nice to meet you :)

Hello, nice to meet you too

I am going to start hiring attractive females to hold signs and post them as introductions on Steemit so I can make $15 a post. That seems a lot more lucrative than writing quality content.

😂
Id believe that attractive females would make more than just 15 bucks a post, no? 😊🤔

haha, attractive females have made much, much more than $15 per post. Not saying you are not attractive as you very clearly are @cooknbake just timing and the value of steem right now may have been against you but if you are shooting for the stars by hypothetically hiring hot females you'd hopefully aim higher than $15 which is not very much.

Welcome to Steemit and I hope you have a blast here! I gave you my measly upvote. :)

Point Proven Already at $16.67 - I have a hunch you'll peak near $33-34 come day 7

@cooknbabe - WELP!! 5 days left and currently at $24.21 - Anyone wanna make a side bet the post surpasses $50 by day 7 - (downvoting of any kind by anyone negates the bet as foul play)

@cooknbabe - I'm rallying for ya! Find me a better and I'll make sure it hits $70

she is pretty damn gorgeous though.

all bets are off on this thing.

only take one whale to come swimming past and notice that face, and not read to where it says about life-partner :)

Ha-Ha very true man - very true - my mentality was if everyone helped out even .25 SBD in promoting and people resteem - especially anyone with a large following - whale or not - all things are possible - I bet this girl had no idea that this post would reach what it has already and also the amount of comments and follows from it.

It really shouldn't matter if you are a male or female but it sure does pay to be an attractive female in a world dominated by 80% males - many of which have deep pockets (world of Cryptopia) Ya DiGG?

sure man, it's the same old same old.

but not complaining, I'm here cause of that face too.

just what we boys do.

WELCOME @cooknbake - Now if you could only convince my fiancé to join as well - she's a certified K-6 Teacher that could add so much wonderful content, stories and also about raising our child - and get paid to do it!! A post a day could eventually keep our daughter out of daycare!!
Anyways - I love the candor and honesty and putting yourself out there - that's the best way to be on STEEMIT. I'll definitely follow you - no follow-backsies :) And start your STEEMIT empire now! Enjoy! @krytonika

:) thanks for the kind words! It took me a while as well, give her time, im sure once she starts shell get into it and have much to add to the community, especially about raising kids. Crossing my fingers for u my friend!

Thanks so much for responding to the comment - as your shiny told you I'm sure - it is integral to creating a following and adding more comment content to posts.

You seem like you are doing well with this post as is but I hit you with another 1 SBD promotion to try and keep it visible as long as possible - best of luck and stay in touch for parenting advice for both sides - and fingers crossed on my beautiful woman getting on here :)

Wow thank you! Im sure ill see her here soon. Upvoted u !

Very welcome - I hope you will see her :) It's gonna be a tough sell though for her until I start making $50 a post then her eyes will light up and sign up real quick lol - thanks for the Upvote too :)

Hey!! welcome welcome welcome!! Your story is amazing and Im so glad I came across it. Its actually funny because I am in the same situation your hubby was trying to get you hooked on Steemit and my gf is a nurse too. What were some good points that he said to you that got you really thinking of joining Steemit? Im trying to get the misses (who already loves social media) onto Steemit, and I think Im close but Im missing something to fully attract her in lol (not that someone needs to be sucked in, just some people are more skeptical that others) I know she will eventually migrate over here because she is going to see how great it is, I just want her to do it now and start now :)
I love to see how well this post has done already :D way better than the first one eh?!

Was nice to read your post! Well, don't give up, as I told another steemian here , give her time and remind her from time to time about it. I'm sure once she'll try it - shell love it - especially if shes into social media (which I wasn't) .
What worked on me eventually was him talking about my passion of cooking + baking and how I can share my recipes with everyone and receive feedback's . If she has something shed love to share - then I'm sure once she tries it out- shell love it! I do!
I'm sure you've been through it, I know I'm still new here but its a bit frustrating in the beginning, when you think you have a great thing to share and then it does not get as much votes as you expected it to. But I'm still learning, and the most important part is having fun along the way! so ... I'm crossing fingers for you my friend!
and thanks for reading my post!

Perfect, thats what my plan has sort of been all along. Just slowly and surly show her the way and shell come around :D
I hear you on the being new part aswell!! It sure is frustrating sometimes, and thats where it takes a lot to keep going sometimes however, I have now gotten off the idea of trying to make a fortune. Its not going to happen just like that (not without alot of dedication and time anyways) so like you, im here because its fun, and I get to see and read some awesome stuff which alot of the time I would probably never have gotten introduced to in my daily activities or my online time.
If I can ever help with anything, feel free to let me know and Ill be more than glad to help if i can
ps, have you checked out the minnowsupportproject? Awesome place to start :)
Cheers and happy Steeming :D

Yea, I guess the fortune definately comes with hard work but that also comes with time.. so, the fortune is definately not going to come my way from here :)
Thank you for the tip! Havent heard of it, will check it out now
Cheers and thanks again!
