DApps
DApps is a the short form of the term Decentralized Applications. The steemit blockchain platform is a perfect example of a decentralized application.
A decentralized application is one which does not have a central authority who has power and rules over all users. Example is our traditional social media platforms like Twitter,Facebook, etc.
In a decentralized application, all users are free to perform all sorts of transactions on their own without having to seek permission from a central agency or be in fear of them.
This is so and possible because decentralized applications does not have central servers, every user servers as his or her own server(all users are interconnected forming a chain of blocks which servers as the server on which all of the records are stored. It is called blockchain technology.
