What are HTML formats?

They are a set of codes or tags that allow you to modify the shape of the texts. With them you can justify paragraphs, place the letter in italics and / or in bold, change the color or size of the letters, among others.

Importance of formatting posts on Steemit

Formats provide publications with a better presentation, which in turn makes it easier for other users to read. In addition, you can improve the number of votes received, because having a good format will give greater value to the post.

It is important that at least the most basic formats such as: justify; align text; place bold, italic, smaller or larger lettering; place subtitles; hyperlinks; insert tables, images and videos; citations; which will give a pleasant and neat publication.

Formats that I use most in my publications

In my time at Steemit, I have used the following formats:

• Center text

With this I usually align in the center the titles, images and subtitles.

• Justify the text

It is always present in my publications, because I think that justified paragraphs improve visualization and reading.

• Bold, italics and modify the font size.

These three options I usually apply when I want to highlight some subtitles and other things in my posts.

• Subtitles

This format is necessary when you want to describe the photographs. I use it whenever necessary, such as to give the source of that image.

• Hyperlink

It is one of my favorites, because they improve the visualization of the links. I do not like that you see the links with all the letters and symbols, and with this code it is possible to present it through a word. I always use it for the sources of information and to place the link of my achievement 1.

• Dating

It is always essential to use the citation format when you want to present the same words of another author. In this way, credit is given to that person together with the source of the information.

Commenting and voting on other people's work:

It is by commenting and voting for others that we leave a trace of our activity. Likewise, by responding to comments and returning visits and votes, we are creating and weaving a network. This network is fundamental because it is through hundreds of interactions that the platform is brought to life, and I am talking about real interactions. Comments are not worth "good publication", but those that generate interest and more comments. what makes the wheel turn, are the votes, this is what mobilizes the system at all its levels. An account that doesn't vote is wasting its SP. One way to make that SP useful is by delegating the communities of your choice to contribute to the system. source
