Hello. I am hoping that you all are doing great. Today i am writing achievement 3. It is based on content etiquette in steemit. We will talk about plagiarism. And why should we avoid from it.

Plagiarism:

The way in which someone copies the content of any other person without his permission and without giving him the credit is called plagiarism.

In detail:

We will talk about plagiarism in explanation. For example someone creates a post. He gives very much time to write and edit it. He does not want to give his post some other person. But if any other user copy his post with out his Permission and show it as it is his own post. he claims that this is written by myself. This example explains plagiarism.
If someone wanTing to use the content of anothers post. He must should take permission from the creator. This is the right thing instead of stealing a post.
Plagiarism can be in different ways but in following i am describing 8 types of plagiarism:-

Complete plagiarism:-

A type of plagiarism in which a user uses the whole content of another user without giving any reference and post it with his own name is called complete plagiarism.

Source base plagiarism:-

In this type of plagiarism a user gives the references. Means if he is copying other persons content he will write the reference of that user. But he does not give real or right reference.

Self plagiarism:-

The plagiarism in which a user uses a wrong way to post hir post. He posts his contents in more than one community. Reuse of one thing in not a way.

Paraphrase plagiarism:-

When a user uses the content of an other user but he makes a lot of changings in it. He wants to show it written by himself by converting many things in it.

Mosaic plagiarism:-

If a person writes a Post but he adds some content of another person. This is called Mosaic plagiarism. In this type a person merges two contents.

Accidental plagiarism:-

A user writes his own post and writes his own ideas but mistakenly he writes a paragraph which is already written by some other user.

Direct plagiarism:-

Simply copy the content of another person and straightly paste it on his own post.

Inaccurate Authorship:-

This plagiarism occurs when we misguide the author about our content.

My suggestions for avoiding plagiarism:-

1. First of all when we write our content. For this we make a researche. But we should remain aware of copying or pasting something. There all some tools for checking our content. We should check our post through them that our content is giving a real or fake look.

1. The second thing is to giving references. If a user takes a picture from Google. So he should write the reference.
   It is not enough to write only reference but also write the link of that pictures website.
2. It is not a tough task to write our posts by our own selves. We should write our whole content through our hands and ideas. We should just work on our thinking and frels the things that will help to write.

What is Citations

Citations are like saying "thank you" to people whose ideas you used in your writing. Its a way of showing Where you Found your information, kind of like giving directions to other who might want to learn more. Its important because its fair to the original thinkers, and it helps everyone find more cool stuff to read
