Contest - About My Steemit Journey | Phase-1 | The journey of lifetime

in Steem For Bangladeshlast year

Hello To All My Steemian Friends!

I agree with my esteemed Steemian friend @ripon0630 that Steemit is a blessing for content creators and writers especially the newbies on blockchain platform irrespective of their long or short experience on this or other websites. I know I can show my creativity and skills through my content because everything is crystal clear on this platform.

I joined this site on May 14th, and I have posted at least one post every day. Maybe the reason is that I have no offline work since I am going through a layoff stage right now and will remain in the same until the next few months. So, as soon as I completed my four newcomers' tasks and got through my initial hitch, I started exploring the possibilities and soon found my favorite communities. The rest is in front of you all, and you're the best judge, but I am satisfied with what I achieved in 8 months on this site.

back222.jpg

I have been active on this site for 8 months and 2 days, or roughly 243 days, and I have 310 posts to my credit. I write in different genres, including fiction story writing. I have even started three contests on my own and paid members from my own wallet for their efforts. However, most of my fiction writing is for Spanish-speaking communities like Colombia-Original and Latina.

In the Project Hope community, I write about management and economics. I have written about culture in various communities, and I have done a couple of posts on festivals in communities like Pakistan and India. My first love is fiction writing, followed by management and economics, which I haven't done much of on this site but on other websites, not cryptocurrency-based though.

Everything teaches you something; you learn and achieve something every day, and I am not an exception either. I listen to everyone and do my best to learn and understand what they are saying. I hope I will begin my job back in Australia once this pandemic allows me to return there.

So I ended up learning a lot that I can call outstanding achievements that started for me in 2022 and have continued to this date.

Everything happens for a reason, but I did not know that I would use that special experience here on Steemit within a few weeks. I had read that book, but not "How to Leverage the Power of Seeing Things as They Are." I can see that going on this site.

During my visit to our local library, I chanced upon a book. I picked it up from the rack and went through a few pages, and what impressed me most was the phrase:

"Only in the darkness can you see the stars." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

That means we should be afraid of changing ourselves according to time and situation. We should rather change our mindset and look at things in a positive way feeling that "it's happening for our better future." We should never be afraid to adapt to the demands of the situation, or "swim against the tide." That brings the best out of us.

When I saw that book, "How to Leverage the Power of Seeing Things as They Are," It said the same thing as my immediate manager had told me time and again, but in a slightly different way. He said you should always be prepared to think differently in different situations.

And now that we're here, things are a little different, so I accept them as they are.

If we keep doing things in the same manner, we get used to them, and we never fail to do or complete the job in a routine manner. But… And then arises a big question at that point: what went wrong?

There is nothing unusual; you find nothing wrong with your way of working unless you suffer failures, but as things begin to change, we feel confused and start doubting our own abilities.

That is the exact point that calls for a change in our strategies or way of working, and those who adapt to such changes come back to success. We must understand that changes are part of life and that changing according to the demands of the situation makes us successful.

If you ask about my achievements between May 14, 2022, and the current date of 2023, I thought for a while and said yes; I have many achievements to my credit during these past few months that have taught me a lot and prepared me for the future. source

My first achievement is that I became aware of and tried to learn seriously about the cryptocurrency market. I’m not talking about the interest I had in buying and selling the major cryptocurrencies, but in how they work. I must admit that this was difficult for me, but once I decide to do something, I do it with all my might.

So my first achievement was that I began posting on Steemit, but I think my writing was more satisfying, though making money was no less of an accomplishment, even though I have never withdrawn anything from my wallet in my stay on this site for last eight months and have no plans to do so in the near future. Now I see myself as a future regular contributor to Steemit.

My achievement #2 I established myself as a contributor, which again was difficult for a nondescript writer like me. Now I am confident enough to write and post crypto and general articles on this site, although I have yet to learn a lot here.

My achievement #3 I have designed logos for a couple of communities.source

I would like to mention that I had been posting on one management and technical site regularly and was doing well prior to joining this site. Now that the site has been declared closed, I had no choice but to accept the offer of a friend on a forum site to join Steemit, and I am glad I did. I now have one good website for writing about my experiences and sharing my knowledge with you all.

I accept that I had to put in a lot of effort as I had a hard time working my way through this new website at first, but I seriously accepted the challenge and did my best to achieve my initial target. I thought I would reach Reputation Point 66 by the end of 2022, but I managed to reach 67 or higher. Let me admit that most marketing professionals hate achieving 100% of their goals because, once they reach 100%, they feel like achieving more, and I am feeling the same. My next goal is to reach reputation 70 by the end of February, as well as my first Dolphin status.

As the marketing manager of a multinational corporation, I was in charge of a team of over 2,000 people, including MBAs, engineers, technical experts, and data processing specialists. I had never even imagined I would ever lead such a life of writing on a website, but I am enjoying it.

And my greatest achievement—you will probably laugh listening to that, is that I asked for a lot of help about cryptocurrency wallets and how they work from my fellow members here on this site! I think asking doesn’t make you look like an idiot, and asking always benefits you in the end. That’s perhaps another achievement for me: I can now handle multiple cryptocurrency wallets with a little help, but surely I can handle them.

It’s easy for you to forget someone if you haven't seen them for some time. The challenge is to look into their eyes, see their smiles, hear their voice, and still be able to say, "This is not what I want anymore." I hope I will not forget my team and my work by the time I go back and begin my work from where I left it, but I will continue on this site.

I have been a content creator for over 10 years, but I had never done it on any blockchain-related site before. However, as most websites that paid writers for their contributions started going down.

I thought, "Where should I write?"

I was writing during my corporate job, but that writing is sort of different from what we write on websites like Steemit. So when one of my fellow members on a forum suggested I join him on Steemit, I considered his offer, although I did not take it immediately.

I have been hearing about cryptocurrencies since 2012, but I seriously started earning different coins in the year 2017 on an American survey website that paid cryptocurrency worth $2–5 for each survey that took 15-20 minutes. That made me curious about cryptocurrency, but I was more of a management writer. I'm still learning the intricacies of blockchain and cryptocurrency, so why not? That brought me to this website, and I am trying my best to understand the technical aspects of this form of currency.

You have doing well sir.

I think asking doesn’t make you look like an idiot, and asking always benefits you in the end.

The purpose of asking questions is to learn fast and avoid making mistakes, of which none of us is 100% capable. Keep on asking if you choose to, and I assure you that you will become experts.

You have a lot of managerial experience and as a good worker who has led 2,000 employees. I am sure you can imply that here on this great platform, Steemit, most especially in the community that you manage and the Steemians in your zone. Best of luck to you, sir.

I enjoyed reading your writing. A little different. Which increases interest in reading. First of all you are an experienced person because you have 2000 people working under you. It takes skill and experience to maintain it. It's great to ask someone to learn about something. I also like this subject and I also ask others a little too much.

Thanks for saying so nice things, but right now I am out of job for almost 21 months. I hope to get back in my contract in a few months time though so by the time I have no offline job, I am spending most of my time on this site. Thank you once again.
