Episode Fifteen... A Nuptial!!!

It was just the first day at work, anyone would be courteous enough to not let their maliciousness be quickly detected but apparently Bridget was not just anyone.

She made it clear right from day one that the position of a third assistant was simply that of an elevated slave.

If Eliora wasn't serving coffee, she was cleaning something or making a copy of another thing. For whatever reason, Bridget made it easy for literally anybody to seek her assistance with any manual task.

"Eliora, you have been such a darling, I will be Logging out now with Gretchen" Bridget rose up from her desk about to step out but then she paused

"...and oh, please can you make copies of those files on the shelf for me"

"Sure" Eliora replied calmly

No matter how displeased she really was, she wasn't going to give Bridget the pleasure of watching her brawl.

"Oh" she muttered and continued walking to the door but then she paused yet again and glanced at Eliora

The smile on her face was still bright and gentle. Bridget couldn't help but be flustered. Did the girl have a kick for torture or was she just plain stupid?

She was literally making it so obvious that she wanted to use her position as her senior to abuse her but why was Eliora acting dumb or was she really blind to the fact?

Bridget left her office with a sour look on her face. She despised the fact that she couldn't get a reaction from Eliora no matter how hard tried.

"There's still tomorrow" her frown deepened as she walked out

Once Eliora was sure Bridget had gone far, she furiously kicked the desk beside her. Her face showed clear contempt and bitterness.

Bridget was a carbon copy of her mother. With such ridiculous cruelness, you could hardly tell the difference between the two.

Did she think she would let them bully her like they did to her mother when her dad passed away? They should think again.

She glanced at the shelf filled with files and scoffed. At this rate, she would never get a meaningful position talk more of taking back the company.

'You need help?' Aiden voice rang out

He had been so quiet throughout that she almost forgot he was still there.

"I'm not doing that, I wouldn't even be done today even if I wanted to" Eliora kept staring at the shelf piled up with files

'I could help out, you know' It was Aiden again

"How? You can't even go to your own body and stop pestering me. Now you want to help me make copies" she glared

What was wrong with everybody recently?

'Make what copies! Are you still thinking of doing that? I thought you wanted the company for yourself, and that... I can help you with'

'But of course, you got to do something for me too'

"What?!" She was very skeptical about his offer but not entirely against it

Eliora knew how badly she needed help especially that of someone with a huge influence in the business field and Aiden clearly fit into that category except that he was about to be declared 'dead'.

So how exactly was he planning on helping her? What was even more intriguing was the condition he was about to place forward? Like wasn't she helping him enough as it was?

'hmmn... My possession once declared dead automatically gets distributed among the Winthrop family unless I had a child or pregnant wife before passing on' he sounded very hesitant

"How's that any of my business" she frowned

'A nuptial... with you' his displeasure was clearly expressed in his tone

He was not a fan of marriage or any sort of forever arrangement.

"A nuptial... Like a marriage?"

"What marriage?!" She was even more displeased
