TRACK OF THE WEEK! (2020 ROUND 5) - Share your TUNES and WIN the post earnings! (Last weeks winner @carolinacardoza received 5.201 STEEM)
Welcome to the "TRACK OF THE WEEK CONTEST!" where you share the music you love & stand a chance to win some STEEM - as well as discovering some AMAZING TUNES from around the world!
2020 ROUND 5 (Closes 11am UTC 13th Feb)
WHAT YOU WIN
After 7 days I will decide which track I like the most! The winning track selected (by me) will win all the liquid earnings that this post accumulates and the confirmation of funds transfer will be shared in the following round.
HOW TO ENTER
All you have to do is share a link in the comments to a song that you are really enjoying at the moment - whether it is new or old it does not matter and neither does the music genre... whether you have loved it your entire life or just for a day is irrelevant! just NO personal promo links please! And please do not look at MY track genre selection as a guide to what you should or should not share... I have an incredibly eclectic taste in music and will no doubt continue to shock most of you as the weekly rounds unfold haha!
Right! With the logistics out the way... let's get to it!
HERE IS MY TRACK SELECTION FOR THE WEEK
which is of no consequence really haha - but what fun would it be if I didn't get to share with you all as well!
AND THE WINNER OF THE LAST ROUND...
@CAROLINACARDOZA!
YOUR 5.201 STEEM HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED
This is the kind of song that you do not even NEED to understand in order to fall in love with!
OK - NOW IT'S YOUR TURN...

@jaynie, I got Bad News for you. Literally, lol, the song is called Bad News. Not a big fan of all the auto-tune going on these days, but I for sure like it in this one. Lmk what ya think!
I really enjoyed that... and even though apparently all he has is bad news, he manages to deliver it in a pretty "happy go lucky manner" hahaha!!! Great share!
Glad you liked it @jaynie. He has put out some crazy good stuff lately. Hey, mind sending some of that SA heat my way??? -6F here right now and I can't feel my toes....
Ha ha. I like your intro, @intothewild. Those are some bodacious tattoos. I've never heard of this band.
Thanks, @jayna! They're not a band though, per se. The guy on the far right is Tom Macdonald, the guy in the middle is called Mad Child, and the girl is Toms GF who produces the videos, her name is Nova Rockefeller. This just so happens to be their first collaboration as a trio :)
You are a bad dude 😅😛
Eh, what can I say??
My first entry! Love this contest idea btw! I have been making a conscious effort to add South African music to my playlist this year. After being introduced to the Medicine Dolls, one of my fave songs is def Kiss Kiss Kill Me (not the most attractive title - sorry) -
Nice! Their sound reminds me of the B52s.
🤘🤙
Awesome to see you participating hon! Also great to see you posting again! Thanks for the positive input re. the contest.
Never heard of these guys but I like their sound! Great share and I have added them to my playlist!
Disco dancer, a tune to stick in your head. Did I mention Manfred Mann (Manfred Sepse Lubowitz) was born in Johannesburg, became a well known British musician, made in South Africa, just for another drive down memory lane....
Manfred Mann Do Wah Diddy Very Good quality Live, 1964
Doo wadiddy! Such a kekker feel good song!!!! and no, I did not know that re. manfred man. Absolutely love old classics like this!
So many were stamped "Proudly South African" then left in our youth due to the laws, so sad since a country losing musicians and artists are people who normally share their knowledge on.
Many years ago some friends and I were out Pub Hopping, We Drove past a Marquee Sign up in Fredonia NY. USA. That said "10,000 Maniacs"
I thought Eeeew, probably some purple haired punk band.
How wrong I was, this was the singer at the time, "Natalie Merchant."
Wow..... I missed seeing a really great vocalist and really good band.
That is completely awesome, @krazzytrukker. I don't listen to Natalie Merchant enough!
Well, I suppose we all live and learn hey hahahaha!!! I love this. she has a magnificently unique voice!
Hi @jaynie I discovered this young man during the Twilight movie era. I purchased the Twilight album and was blown away by the awesome musicians who contributed to make the movie a box office hit. One of the artists was Bruno Mars.
His "IT WILL RAIN" is absolutely fabulous. He has a booming career as a musician. The young adults love him.
Here is his track from the movie:
Bruno Mars is amazing! I couldn't begin to pick which of his songs is my fave. I was trying to remember which year he performed in the Super Bowl halftime show, because it was amazing. Turns out he is the only artist to do it three times! Great track, @justclickindiva.
Yes, he is @jayna. A true talent with a voice that only comes along rarely. He has a bright future ahead of him.
I loved that movie series and I REALLY enjoy bruno mars too! This is definitely one of his best! Awesome share honey!
So I had a completely different song chosen for you this week (I think I have the next 4 weeks worth of songs chosen, in fact), but then this one popped up on my youtube feed and trumped them all.
@wesphilbin, I summon thee!
The song begins at about 1:55 if you don't want to listen to the banter.
Go get em, love the drumming, lyrics are descriptive! Sure is a Rush!
You Are The Winner!!!
That was awesome!!!
hahaha talk about planning ahead hey @wwwiebe :D Love the efficiency. Also love your choices... they are always so wwwacky!!! haha!
Really love this blokes music! Great entry!
Hi, I'm new here. This is my entry. This song since I was a child, makes me have fun and I know that many will bring memories
Welcome @artmedina :)
My word.... HE-MAN!!!! lol When last!
This was hilarious!! :D
Great entry lol
Wow now that was a blast from the past!!!!!
Love Def Leppard! 😍 What a sound!
Ok this is coz you got me into the 60's flow with your pick. So I am going to bring the 60's (Smokey Robinson’s “The Agony and the Ecstacy”) into 2017 with this sample track by Flamingosis :D
LOVE THIS!!!!!! Added to my playlist!
Sweet :)
hehehe :)
