In India still in many places the old techniques still exist which is kind of more laborous

I've seen people plowing with animals in a few places. Here it is really rare. There is something romantic about doing it like that, but it can be seen as abusive to the animals if you can avoid it.
Most people here use gas powered tillers and mini tractors. Paying for increased labor or keeping a horse is much more expensive than renting machines.

Indeed in my areas farmers are not that efficient to afford tractors. They still dependant on animals, the practices that keep continuing since ages.

Interesting. Its quite a pity that today, most people do not appreciate the art of farming because, everything seems to be done by machines(which is good) and genetic engineering on crops- which can both be good and bad depending on who you ask.

But overall, coming from an agricultural region in the Philippines, this truly is such an amazing feat! Knowing the history of farming and how it was cultivated a few million years before I begun existing.

I'm sure if you head towards the jungle interior of the Philippines, you will find the indigenous tribes doing the type of agriculture that would have been more common before the agricultural revolution. They would have small gardens and managed woodlands that don't exactly look like modern farms at all, but are much more productive for human use than natural forests.

Iam quite stunned actually. That was more interesting than i thought it would be. Maybe i have been overlooking a jem of discovery as we pass by the agricultural museums here as we travel.

I loved the history! That was really cool to find out the human history of your area. I get so wrapped up in the history of the areas we travel through on our county collecting that I find it refreshing to learn more about other countries.

Thank you for sharing and opening my eyes!

Glad you liked the post. I do find visiting the national museum is important, but when it comes to other ones, I like to mix it up. They don't even advertise these ones to tourists, but the scenes are so good, you don't even need to read the poorly translated English.
