Shaman Knowledge - Drugs
Introduction
With this article, I would like to highlight various drugs of humanity and show their use in the Shaman context. We will get to know the various types, follow their historical career, and finally examine the actual use more closely. I will take you on a discovery tour to unknown areas of your own body and include practical examples that will surprise you.
Overview and classification of drugs
The many scientific classifications according to class, effect, origin or damage potential to be read on Wikipedia are not suitable for our purpose. Drugs in the sense of shamanic activity have different backgrounds and therefore have to be considered quite differently. We do not deal with intoxication drugs or poison drugs. Our focus is on the purpose of use. In the Shamanic context, therefore, the purpose of use is decisive, and therefore we have drugs for trance induction, clairvoyance, time travel; Roughly describable as drugs for the extension of the consciousness on the one hand and then still drugs to modify rooms, known as burning incense.
Historical use in examples
Smoke has a disinfectant effect and has been used for a long time to clean rooms, or to load them with the energies of the plants. In the Celtic culture we have sage for cleansing and mugwort for protection. In South Siberia, the highland vigil takes over both functions. In Yakutia there are barks of certain trees. Besides, there are a lot of other local specific herbs which have always been used by the local people and are not questioned. An important principle is the function, because only functioning customs are passed on.
From Samiland and the neighboring northern regions of Siberia the use of flypick has been proven for 5000 years. Surprisingly, it turns out that the so feared fatal flyy mushroom is a tasty edible mushroom if you only remove the red skin. And he can not be so deadly if there is not a fatal case in literature. Our good purity of beer also depends on the fact that the early Bavarians like to mix this skin and other herbs into their beloved drink. This brings us to the church and its rejection, and ultimately to the banishment of many original tools of the ancient knowledge, which were then denoted as witches and burned. This fire is still burning in some heads.
Current examples
Worldwide, the South American shamans are the last to use the really hard drugs. I like to refer to them as drug shamans. In all other parts of the world, the use of drugs is restricted to ritual smoke and medicine. I have to say that there have always been good and evil shamans. In Siberia, for example, a shaman who drinks no alcohol is called a white, good shaman, his work gives strength and heals. The black shaman, on the other hand, likes to be fond of the dark powers and even the bad drugs, to which the alcohol belongs quite definitely.
The body's own drugs and their use
Everyone knows that chocolate triggers the same processes in the brain as heroin, but not so strong. Every mountaineer knows the feeling of having reached the summit, the marathon runner at km 30, the artist in the intoxication of the colors just before the completion of the work, in short: it is everyday knowledge that we ourselves are able to put us in special conditions when we just want it. With the chocolate is simply a chemical process, not a special effort on our part, the summit storm is already somewhat more demanding.
In my articles on Nada Yoga, I have already presented techniques which make available certain drugs, part 1, part 2 , part 3. Each of the techniques in Part 1-3 activates one or more of these centers and thus creates a body-borne drug.
Basically, there are techniques that activate the body's hormonal glands, known as chakras in India, energy centers. In the classical system, there are seven main centers, I use nine principal centers, the thymus and the nasal chakra, I also regard as the main center, but later more on this.
And now?
The knowledge alone brings nothing if it is not used. I invite you to try and report on the occasion. I have not been drinking alcohol for 25 years, and besides tobacco, which I regard as a enjoyment, I am completely drug-free. This changes naturally when a ritual is made in the yurt, when burning incense and conscious breathing starts, and the body-borne drugs look forward to their performance.
Until next time!

My friend
I saw your post today. But today 's posting is too difficult for my English ability so I could only understand part of it.
The conclusion I came up with is that I understand that you make your body healthy by various herbs and meditation, but I do not know if it is right.
In short easy English:
I speak about drugs. Inner drugs of the body. They can be produced by breathing techniques. They are not harmful. They are used in all cultures to get into trance. I reference 3 posts with different techniques.
If any questions, please ask, thank you so much!
the 3rd pic is from the Philippines the etching on the bamboo says "bawal tapon ng basura kahit saan" it means - no throwing of garbages anywhere -
he's not shaman though :)
he's an ifugao- native of the Banaue rice terraces :)
I am not so sure about it:

The headdress is typical shamanic.
But anyway, I just take this photo from pixabay without knowing anything about Phillipino shamans, now I have made some research, thank you for that!

it must be the head gear
they must have thought he is one
but the shamans have a distinct look on their faces
and they normally look different -- out fit wise too
unless this one has already adapted to modern times
