Introduction

Nada Yoga - the yoga of sounds is the fastest and easiest way to experience meditation.

Use is made of pronounced or sung sounds, hand-holdings, so-called mudras, and breathing techniques.

By linking these together, it creates an inner atmosphere of pure joy.

The used sounds and breathing are completely natural and so this yoga is also one of the easiest and practicable from 7 years on.

In the Vedas three basic sounds are listed as the basis for all other sounds. They are also referred to as the universal sounds.

  • A - open mouth, vibration is starting in the stomach, spreads to the whole body

  • U - speak wuuuuu, vibrating in the area of ​​the solar plexus and spreading upwards

  • M - mouth closed, vibration beginning in the laryngeal region and spreading into the head region

The tongue is motionless. Once the tongue comes into play, all other sounds can be generated. The combination of these three sounds makes AUM. This sound is considered the generating sound, in contrast to the HU, the sound of the destruction (is treated in a later article extra).

Guidelines for preparation for practice

  • Not with full stomach or directly after eating
  • Mobile phone and other electrical devices in off mode
  • Remove your glasses
  • Upright sitting, straight back, hands on thighs, palms up
  • To reinforce a Mudra: Bring the thumbs and middle fingers together on the tops
    eyes closed (look to the picture)

AUM - technique for joy

Perform each of the three basic sounds 7 times consecutively. Inhale deeply into the belly, briefly pause and then sound the corresponding sound for the entire duration of the exhalation. After exiting the sound, exhale fully and breathe in before breathing out again.

Result

The execution of this technique has a whole series of positive effects on body and mind. Sleep disturbances, bad dreams, weak constitution, attention syndrome in children, and many others can be alleviated very quickly or completely eliminated. Do it one to three times a day. Perfect is, of course, the control of an experienced yoga teacher to have the optimal benefit.
