Hi guys and welcome to another beautiful Wednesday.

So, recently have been on the lookout for an alternative game to PUBG, personally more of a free to play battle royal base game which offers few or more of the functions PUBG has and I must say it’s really hard to find a similar game out there, not counting Fortnite tried it and am terrible xd.

Few weeks back came across the game-play of H1Z1 and I thought this might just be what have been looking for all this while, well it didn’t turn out as I had planned.

H1Z1 is a free to play battle royal match, where users gets to play in a solo match or in a group match made up of different users, the goal is to be the last man standing, just like every other battle royal game released or yet to be released, it covers a wide region, and players have the ability to use different weapons ranging from guns to vehicles.

The major issue with the game would be the ping limitation.

This is probably the first time am seeing ping restriction in a game, yes it was made due to fair game policy, to better the odd between players and ensured all gamer had a good time playing it not having to see lag here and there.

Personally, it’s a good thing but when you come from a region were you get 250 to 200 ping, well that ping restriction no longer looking good.

It becomes impossible to play the game anymore, most times you are restricted to just few features of the game and you are unable to participate in matches that really matters.

For a player coming from a nation were little or few individuals play online games, the game H1Z1 is a no go and I would say it’s more or less a waste of internet data, as users from such regions won’t be able to play the game, its more or less just for show.

Before you play/download H1Z1 here is a little hint on what to expect.

The list not that long as am unable to fully access the game features.

• First is the avatar creation, personally I think this is uncalled for, from what have seen so far, the range between players make it almost impossible to see what the next player looks like, the avatar probably used to show your party team not to show the opposite team, although its kind of cool if you want to show of to team mates xd.

• Store, you know how most games generate their incomes, well H1Z1 not far from it, majority of equips available to players can be purchase from customized menu in which case you need to spend few cents to unlock fancy skins and equips.

• This should be the most important of all, internet connection, before now have tried other battle royal based match, ranging from my mobile device to my pc and I must say this was the first time I experienced a ping limitation. After playing other battle royal base match with a ping ranging from 250 to 200, although I experienced lag here and there but it was not an issue, so the idea of limiting a ping availability is certainly uncalled for.

With that been said, the only game available to play is ether hosted game mode or a combat training.

H1Z1 comprises of

• Solo match: From my experience playing battle royal games, I would say it’s probably a 1 vs 100 situation or the numbers decreased, you have the option to use equips from the surrounding to better your game, which include med kit, vehicles for transportation and what have you.

• Duos: same situation as the above but made up of a two player mode, where two users gets to battle others and game can be generated randomly or you could pick from your friend’s list and play on.

• Fives: team made up of 5 users to battle others, this option probably same as squad match but a higher number of users in one group.

• Arcade mode, this option seems new to me and this is the first am seeing such option in a battle royal based game, hence am unable to draw a conclusion on what to expect from this option.

Other options available are

Combat training: This option is to make players familiar with the game settings, what each controls stands for and how to better play the game, just like every training ground on games, player have the ability to use equips that would be found in the normal or rank match, although you get to respawn when killed it still gives you a feel of what to expect from the main game.

The combat training as a wide map range and players have the ability to move from one location to another, there is limitless amount of time available so you can play on for eternity without getting logged out or increasing your xp, experience point. You move around and battle other players, the option is to get familiar with the keys and even after getting 20 kill+, it does not affect your xp in any form.

Hosted game: This option probably available when playing a competition match with friends, you are able to play in an isolated room with others, although it seems the option is yet to be released or players don’t use it that much, cause no game could be found via the hosted game or probably a requirement is supposed to be meant, say you must be logged in to same wifi connection or what have you.

There is also an emote option, seems this options is becoming more and more available on recent games been developed, it comes with a wide range of emote options and each having different displays

Most of the equips available for usage are guns, with a three slots availability which can be swap from one to the other, vehicles which can be gotten from game map, which can be used as a form of transport from one location to another or running another play over xd, also you have the option to use binoculars, with this option you can see a far distance better.

From the above, my few experience playing H1Z1 is no good and if I was allowed to rate it I would say 2 out of 5, all due to the ping restrictions, even if players have a good ping, match room would take a longer period to generate cause a ping of 150 below is required before a player can have access to rank match.

Trying out the game, the combat training seems to have a lot of active users and players with ping of 100 and below can be found there, so my conclusion would be it takes a longer time to generate a room for rank matches and hence players are unable to wait, making all move to combat training room.

If you probably thinking of downloading this game, I would advise you get a good internet connection before moving on or you get to be restricted to combat training room alone.
