My 50 favorite video game trailers (21-25.)
Hello Everyone!
I have to say I really like to read/watch top lists of all kinds (PC games, movies, TV series etc.). I use IMDB regularly, I read Metacritic or the yearly Gamespot and IGN lists about video games. In my opinion, reading reviews and top lists can help you choose better products most of the time and it's a fun activity (at least for me).
I always wanted to make top lists myself, so I've figured out, it would be a good idea to make various top lists and share them in my blog posts with my viewers.
So here are 5 trailers from the top 25!
(you can find the previous posts here: 46-50. ; 41-45.; 36-40.; 31-35.; 26-30.)
An important thing first: The whole list is my subjective opinion. Sometimes it was difficult to correctly rank them, and hell, I'm not even sure if I would make this exact same list in 2 weeks! So if you don't agree with it, or if you think there are titles, that should've made into my top 50, let me know in the comments! Some of those will surely pop up later in the series, but it's possible, that I didn't even see your favorites yet. I hope you'll enjoy watching these trailers and you'll find some valuable among them. (Watch out though, they can induce impulse buys! :D )
25. Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm - Opening Cinematic (2:55)
I like Starcraft and Brood War but I still haven't played Starcraft II somehow. As I make this list of these incredible trailers, I just realize that there are still way too many amazing games I have to play... Out of the Starcraft II trailers, this is the best in my opinion, but it's worth to check out the others too.
24. Dishonored 2 - Official E3 2015 Announce Trailer (3:13)
The first game and its DLCs are simply amazing. I was really excited when I first saw this trailer and Emily in action. It was a great idea to let you play both a male and a female protagonist with a somewhat different skillset, so I'm really looking forward to play it. If Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider are just as good as this trailer implies it, it will surely worth my time.
23. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Announcement Trailer (3:32)
I liked the first Deus Ex (2000), it is considered as a cult classic for a reason. The new games are prequels to it and Human Revolution is among my favorites. I've just picked up Mankind Divided from the actual Humble Monthly and it is probably in the next 5 games I'll play. This trailer is pretty similar to the Human Revolution trailer, but that's absolutely not a problem.
22. Darksiders II - Death Comes for All Trailer (2:01)
Both Darksiders games are pretty underrated, in my opinion. I loved the apocalyptic setting, the protagonists, the plot twists, the awesome music (especially in the sequel... Guardian boss fight anyone?), even the somewhat cartoony graphics. The trailer is good for the same reasons as the games. So... Darksiders 3, please.
21. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Killing Monsters Cinematic Trailer (2:44)
I think I don't have to introduce The Witcher 3 to anyone. The amazing game has a lot of amazing trailers and this isn't the only one on my list. Just watch it and play the game, you won't regret it!
I hope you liked these trailers, next time I'll come back with five from the top 20. See you soon!
Dishonored 1 was amazing. Dishonored 2 I haven't played yet. So I am with some hype for the game :P
Witcher is one of the future series that I will play. Now I'm finishing Dragon Age Inquisiton. Let's wait for your top 20 :)
Yeah, I really loved the world and the characters of Dishonored. A lot of people had trouble with Dishonored 2, but I've tried the demo and it worked well for me. So before you buy it, I advise you to check the demo first on Steam.
The Witcher series... That's ~300 hours of awesomeness. :D
Ahahah you know it my friend! Thanks for the advice! Sure I will, but you know the life of a gamer: Lots and Lots and Lots of games to play ahahah 😂
Even in DA: Inquistion I'm with more of 100 hours and I'm in the middle of the main game. How's that possible??? BUT I'M LOVING ALL OF IT. I want more games like these, and more games like Dishonored and Witcher.
What a time to be a PC gamer :')
Keep the good work my friend! You're doing great!
Yeah, exactly like you say, there are lots of incredible games! I don't understand the people who complain that they can't play anything because there aren't good games anymore, like in the "good old days".
Thx for the kind words! :)
You said everything! I think these people are the ones who really rely heavily on mainstream games. If players actually looked at the list of games on Steam that are worth playing, I do not think they would say that anymore. Not to mention the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, the ones that left in the past generation. :)
