Most Canadian Moment Ever
I love being Canadian. But sometimes all the memes and jokes about us all become hauntingly true when you find yourself in the situation I found myself sitting by on the train coming home from school.
The train was extremely crowded and two women decided to have it out with each other, the Canadian way. Lady 1 who was seated saw Lady 2 get on the train carrying some bags of groceries and immediately stood up,
Lady 1: "Here have my seat"
Lady 2: "Oh no thats okay, but thank you"
Lady 1: "But you have heavy bags" [things are clearly getting heated]
Lady 2: "They are not that heavy I am fine" {rebuttal of persistantce]
Lady 1: "I insist you look tired"
Lady 2: "I am only a few stops away"
Lady 1: "My legs need a stretch, please take my seat"
Lady 2: takes the seat thanking Lady 1
Lady 1 wins the most aggressive Canadian argument you can find in a public place.
And it is at this time that I am humbled as a Canadian to be around the people I am around even though it is absolutely hilarious the lengths we go to to put others first at all costs.

Aw, a truly sweet story!
They were adorable. Its my favourite Canadian moment besides the one where all of us beer tipsy fans cram on to the train after leaving the hockey game and we are all just giggling and holding onto each other as the train pushes us around and nobody is bothered at all just hearing "sorry" a million times when we continue to fall on each other. It was even funnier when someone who was not from here said "where I come from people don't even talk to each other on the train".
Yeah, its truly great that the spirit of community is still alive!
