ATTENTION: There are some great fictional stories this week, but also some real life struggles.

Please take a little time to go send some love to our fellow steemians who are having a rough time. Sometimes even just words of support can make a difference.

@owasco

here's a great one for this week https://steemit.com/freewrite/@owasco/coyotes by a member of our community I haven't read before, @owasco.
First, I really love that the writer only spent five minutes, as that's what I do too and makes easier to read than some of the longer ones. Second, the story is imaginative, vivid and interesting. There's suspense, comedy and a moment in time where a writer is brought into what another writer experiences in attempting to capture vision in words!
See how many times I write the word writer? This is a great one :) ~ @kimberlylane

@tusiko

A first freewrite from this user! They're a non-native speaker, and I do always enjoy seeing into the brains of folks as they learn how to do the thing that is freewrite-ing. One of the most delightful elements of this is seeing that, even though they went back and corrected spelling errors by using Grammarly, there was at least one word that they trusted their own knowledge of more than the spellchecker. ;) ~ @improv

@traciyork

For this story by @traciyork, I found it a pleasant reading for what was going on in the beginning. The voice within the head which I think it happened to us too. She wrote the conversation between her and the voice. And just when I thought it was someone like neighbour or her family members then she told you Ma had passed on. Then at the end, you would be thrilled to find out who the voice was. I love how people ended story with a twist. ~ @iamjadeline

@tristancarax

This week I ran across @tristancarax #freewrite on the prompt, prompt. He tells a sad story about being homeless on the streets for two and a half years, hanging at the YMCA, with no friends to speak of. He feels he would get more attention if he was an animal, as they are usually treated better than humans. It's a sad fact that animals are treated better than the homeless in this county. We need to make a change. 🙏 ~ @wonderwop

@iamjadeline

@iamjadeline didn't write this freewrite with letters, but with TEARS.
The way she compared the same situation with her children with that of the grim situation of poverty killing the poor all over the world is heart-rending.
"Why don't have fried chicken?" See, hungry people eat whatever that is served. They won't make any remark such as above. Hungry human beings to the point of starvation eat even food thrown into the bin."
The last sentence literally left me in tears....What more can I say? ~ @marvyinnovation

@fitinfun

A member of the freewrite family is in dire need of help. @fitinfun works her butt off helping others and this platform, so please show her our gratitude by sending her some love. Prayers always help too. You really need to read her freewrite which explains her situation and all of the ways you can help. ~ @whatisnew

@deemarshall

I like this one from @deemarshall for the prompt of "orbit." It is so strange how words have different meanings and which one come to our minds when we get the prompt. Dee's went to Orbit chewing gum! I had a traumatic experience with gum in about 5th grade and was never able to chew it again. But Dee had a bonding experience with it . I needed an uplifting moment today and I am so glad I saw this freewrite! ~ @fitinfun

@byn

This one by @byn truly captivated my attention to the fullest. I read. And the scenes just pop up in me. She write as in a way that when readers read, they are like watching a movie. No joke. And then I wanted to watch the movie again. And I read her freewrite again. It revealed a true dilemma which happened in the world, so the story totally hooked you in. ~ @iamjadeline
