The Over Twenty Club!🎉
I can't express how excited I am that I've been officially inducted into the Over Twenty Club! This means that I've written over twenty freewrites, and I'm currently active within the community.
Over twenty! This feels huge when I think about my very first one, and how I meticulously timed myself, nervously checked for typos, and just about peed myself when I hit post!
There it was...my first "published" writing for others to read!
And it has just gotten better and more fun the more I write and the more people I meet.
For those who have no idea what I'm going on about, @mariannewest posts a daily prompt, and the idea is to set a timer and write for 5 minutes without holding yourself back.

The journey of freewriting has taught me so much about myself.
A little backstory...I've been writing one single story for seven years. It's been a tough go, and really it's fear in my ability that holds me back. But since being here and feeling support such amazing support, I've gained so much more confidence, and now I write with reckless abandon.
So, I've been asked to share three of my favorite freewrites, and it took me just second to think about, but I think I've got them!

I loved writing this! My hubs (@freedompoint) had been helping me with ideas for the prompt pen and suggested I tell the life story of a pen, and then Blue was born!

This was my first (and only haha) attempt at writing a weekend freewrite...which comes in three seperate prompts designed to drive you nuts! Not really, but it does offer a unique challenge.

This was my first prompt in the ongoing Lola series. It was so different from any other I'd ever written, and I surprised myself by the emotions that came out.

Congratulations!!!! It is a great feeling to go back and find your favorite freewrites. This community has become a place for expression, and you never know what story idea will come from them.
I hate to say I've completely stopped writing novels since I joined Steemit. I still have some screen plays I'd like to write, but these short freewrites and an occasional short story seem to be enough for now.
We need some writers for @carrieallen's radio show called, Steemstar After Dark. They need short skits to be performed by Steemians live on Friday nights. We have been having a blast. Contact her if you have something you'd like to share, or know anyone who would like to help write!

So, I've actually talked to @carrieallen about her show! I really wanted to be involved, especially being a voice actor, but I haven't heard anything in awhile. I would also love to write a skit. I know she was looking for scary, but would maybe something funny or silly work?

So.... originally I talked to you about MISSION CONTROL MONDAYS... I still totally need super short (under 600 words) scary/chilling stories.... but what @simgirl is speaking of is a totally NEW show. It's only been going on about 3 weeks....
Think... Saturday Night Live sketches. ALL COMEDY ALL THE TIME. We want Friday nights (STEEMSTAR AFTER DARK) to be a hilarious place to spend your time.
Also, as far as voice actors for MISSION CONTROL go, I do have a list of folks who show up every week and listen and remind me they are still interested... So, it's not that you were forgotten, but you were kinda forgotten amongst the others who are reminding me they want to play :)
BUT! On Friday nights we do LIVE readings of all the scripts that were written for the week and ALWAYS need more folks to read and play characters.
This week (Friday night) will be a little different as me and hubs have had a very busy couple of weeks and haven't had time to write a bunch. We are looking for AT LEAST 5-6 regular writers to keep the show going, as we need 7-8 original scripts each week to use on the show. It's a LOT of content.
That said, ya don't have to be a 'regular' writer. I'll take anything! LOL!
Think about it... FUNNY. ALL FUNNY.
For examples, go to my blog, I've resteemed all of my husband's (@chrisroberts) scripts that we've used so far. There are maybe 7 or 8 of them up in posts in the last couple of weeks.
They are all pretty silly.

I literally have time for NOTHING else so that's all I post (or resteem).

Thank you! I'm so excited I found you all those months ago. I remember when the hubs told me to check out the freewrite tag, and that's when I stumbled on the prompt posts!
Yay!! And we are so happy you did. Since I started this, the tag has become quite popular. When I had the query run, there are so many names on it that never participated in our prompt. But 210 days ago, it wasn't a visible tag at all. So, we are doing something right LOL
Yes, I think so! My biggest pull to this community was the freedom. The only rules are the ones we set for ourselves to help us become better. Then this feeling of family happened organically that morphed into the freewrite house, and I just feel blessed to be apart of it.
