A short distance but a LONG drive This has become a common scenario when you drive along the major highways in Malaysia during the holiday seasons. For a long stretch of holidays such as during festive seasons, long weekend with public holiday back to back. For such a long stretch holidays, it is a welcome moment for many people especially those employee in an office or factory.

However, this mode of holiday with the family members got stressed up after you hit the highway to your hometown or holiday destination. It is a smooth and pleasant drive along major highways during non holiday season but why should you torture yourself on the road with such a long drive. The driving distance remain unchanged but the time taken is increased by as much as 2-3 times your normal driving time. I think this is insane

Yet, do you have a choice? Certainly for some but most have no choice better than to trap them self in the extremely heavy traffic. For some, you may take extra leave to travel earlier of later during the holiday season to avoid heavy traffic by most travelers. But are you among this group of travelers., if so, then you are one of the few lucky one

On the other hand, it is a smooth and easy drive within the city road when most people get out of the city and drive towards their hometown. What is left in the city are minority of the residence. To have a enjoyable drive along major highways, do so during non holiday seasons.

For the traffic authority, it is a forever challenges to improve traffic system to cope with the increasing car owners.
