Day 295: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: burning
In today's prompt, the topic is "burning". Depending on how you want to interpret this woRD but for me the "burning desire" came into my thoughts.
Yes, you are very likely to note or have personal experience that someone starts a new hobby or stared to perform some task, started with full energy and talk about it. You can see the interest to carry out that task. You will continue to do so for the second day, the third day and so on. But after several days, you start to find it difficult to keep up the pace especially there is certain event happen 8n between. And in some cases, you will discontinue the task.
You are not alone, in fact, there are many people include me started a new hobby, then get real interested in it But just could not sustain it. Why is that happen?
The way I experience it is that I discovered certain new hobby you have picked out can sustaining than the others it is due t9 the fact that you have the "burning desire" to carry out the habit for those hobbies you still continue.
Burning desire creates the motivation to perform a task. Be it a long-term hobby or just a short-term task that motivation factors beings about a benefit that are considered emotional satisfaction for accomplishments. This motivation keeps you going until it becomes a habit.
If you want to sustain a new take or hobby, you find the burning desire so that it motivates you to move on until it becomes a habit.

I agree here. It's quite easy to start any project with passion and great determination. The trick is to sustain it, especially when there's no natural end to it. Kind of like STEEM. We have posts and comments with endings, but there's always another post and comment to make. There's always more to engage with, and there's always someone else's post to read. It can drain on you.
So, I suppose, that means that somehow our unbridled enthusiasm needs to be constrained to some degree, tempered with something, or sustained with it. Avoiding too high highs and too low lows. Taking time to celebrate small victories, but always pushing for greater.
Not easy, but necessary, if we're ever going to accomplish anything.

You are absolutely right to point out the essentials to start and sustain a task or project ( like the Steem ) and it is not an easy task. It takes help and courage from others to push and pull each other because most of us faced with ups and downs and needed a booster to pull us back on track.
Therefore, a real network with m=people who share the similar objective needs to come together to work on this task/ project together.

I absolutely agree. I've been helped along by the curation and engagement leagues, and many find other communities, like freewrite to fall into. We probably need to figure out a better way to get newcomers oriented and set up with people to see if we can retain more of them. Starting off with the warning that, "Steemit is not a get rich quick scheme" and go from there. :)
I agreed. Some of the Discord founders have attempted to get an upfront expectation. Unfortunately, most newbiew joined discord group to expect to get upvote without any contribution. Sad but this is the fact
Well, they're told to do that, too, except apparently they either don't hear or ignore, or it wasn't said, that they need to do something first. I've shied away from all of that myself, but if it serves as a better means than what's currently available to get people some proper orientation, I guess it's better than nothing. I ended up reading through the Steemit FAQs and the etiquette posts, but that's apparently too much to ask and is also probably outdated somewhat.
yeah, having said that, there are legitimate discord group that really tried their best to help their own community members. They consistently keep their members aware of their obligation before asking for upvote. It is very time consuming and needed patience with these newbies
hopefully, more newbie get educated to jump into the band wagon and start to contribute as well
