Daily Harvest Episode 5: Wildcrafted Green Onions! Article Plus Video!
Greetings!
Today is another blessed and beautiful day in The Garden of Eden!
Today in Episode 5 of "Daily Harvest" I go out into the garden and harvest some wildcrafted green onions/chives!
If you have not seen my other Daily Harvest Episodes, they are very informative and most of them are on Super Foods!

Now let's get into today's Episode on Wildcrafted Green Onions!

I love green onions, as they grow very quickly and taste delicious!
They are also pretty easy to wildcraft, as they self-propagate quite well and last all year when established properly! They can handle the heat of the Texas summers as well as the winter freezes in an abundant and healthy ecosystem!
Here is a photo of their seeds/bulbs which grow NEW onions! It's always amazing to see how abundantly nature is designed; every onion produces 5-10 new bulbs/seeds which grow more onions!
Green onions are super useful in many culinary dishes and often times are utilized raw!
This is a great thing because raw foods are very healthy, and when they are wild crafted they are almost a super food!
Here is a nice patch of them growing, and as you can see there are grasses/weeds growing with them because we wildcraft everything. This is much more sustainable in the long run!

Miss them sweet yummy onions. They are great for digestion. Also they reproduce themselves at the root base as well as those bulbs you show.
