๐ŸŽ„ DARK CHOCOLATE & CRANBERRY with PISTACHIO GRANOLA - Edible Gift Ideas ๐Ÿ“ท FOOD PHOTO SHOOT & RECIPE ๐Ÿ“ทsteemCreated with Sketch.

It's Thursday the 15th! 10 Days People, only 10 days until Christmas!!

Do you have all your gifts in place? How about some edible gifts?

Edible gifts by your own creation will say a lot. They'll remember you and the gift for a long time to come.

In case you missed it, here are some of my other edible gift ideas:

  1. HOMEMADE SPICE MIXES - Put your own twist to ready made spice mixes. Who knows, maybe you'll start your owne brand?
  2. CHOCOLATE DIPPED SALTED CARAMELS - Do I really need to say more?
  3. CHOCOLATE BLACK SESAME PEANUT BUTTER TRUFFLES - Yup, more chocolate, how can you go wrong?
  4. WHITE CHOCOLATE GINGERBREAD FUDGE

I do not know about you, but I just can't believe how fast this month is going. The 14th, it just doesn't seem possible.

Not only is my house busy with all things Christmas, but the town we live in is a buzz also. Our town is a tourist town and tourist season is in high gear. People from all over Europe are here as well as some from the states.

Well, this is one of my granola recipes and it is always a hit. I know it would be a great gift for your friends and family.

On a side note: I enjoy doing these side notes near the end of the post. This is where I can find out who actually read my posts. I realize everyone is super busy, I totally get it, I don't take offense. The note I wanted to make is this - I have known this for a long time, but the point was driven hard home the past two days. Hard work, quality posts, high reputations score, a large number of followers, a large amount of steempower, .... none of it means anything to a post unless a whales comes by and gives a little wink. I had three posts, by my standards very good posts, totally flop, I mean like I want to take all my toys and go home flop. So, I just have to shake it off and keep Steeming On!

RECIPE

Ingredients

1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup sunflower oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
zest from 1 orange
1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup unsweetened, dried coconut flakes
1/4 cup pepitas
1/2 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
2/3 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup semi-sweet dark chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C). Combine honey, oil, salt, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan and place over low heat. Stir for about 3 minutes until warm. Renove from heat and add vanilla and zest, then stir until smooth. Add oats and coconut and stir to combine.
  2. Spread out granola on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes. then remove from oven and stir in pepitas and pistachios with spatula. Return to oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes longer until crisp. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, add craisins and chocolate and pour into a jar or container with lid. Should keep at room temp for at least 2 weeks.

Another wonderful post! Do you do product photography professionally? If not, you easily could!

Yes, I have done work for a few brands. I would have a lot more work with that, but I am in Chile and it's hard to get product packaging to me from the states which is where most of the companies are. Very few of these brands are sold here in Chile. But thanks for the compliment. Do you know of avenues / outlets to sell photos like mine? Places that actually work?

Yeah, the market for photography or anything really, would be a smaller in Chile, and the shipping costs would be a big barrier.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any places that would reliably buy or book product shots. There are stock photography sites but those pay next to nothing. (I sold one picture on istock, 0.25ยข not even over the threshold to get paid!) 500px has a good pay structure, but I haven't sold any there. Steemit has actually paid the best as for online photography. I've done some interior stuff and portraits, the online part of that would be my portfolio, which makes it very easy to site people my work.
