How about some gift ideas that keep on giving?

Plus, don't you and your family and friends need more spice in their lives?

This particular idea is especially practical for me, because when we first moved to Chile, we did not have any of the spices we were accustomed to. And, in all of the stores here, the majority of spices are sold in this tiny little plastic bags, not made for dispensing. In the states, I can't think of any spice that wasn't sold in a package suitable for pouring / shaking spices out of it.

I use a lot of spice in my everyday cooking, a lot. So, when the crew comes home from the grocery store, there are always this little bags of spices that are so, so difficult to keep organized. So, this was my inspiration for this idea.

I have a very high appreciation for spice blends. These blends really help in the speed of cooking.

You can get really creative with your containers. I chose shakers, but I encourage you to get creative, for example unique shaped jars.

I hope this inspires you and you can in turn put your own spice to it.

Ah, to be that reggae reggae man :0)

Well now that is a good idea!! Although I have a secret name my stuff goes under ;0)

this is sooo spooky - I have just bought spices and herbs to make up for pressies - great ideas -
great photos

That's not spooky, that should be confirmation that you're on the right track and your idea was awesome. Thanks so much for the compliment on the photos!

I've done these as gifts for family members when I was in the UK - so thought I would try them out as small tokens to new friends here in Egypt see what the think as spices here are used contantly in everything. They look so pretty in the kitchen especially the layered ones.
