Steemit's 1st Fitness Challenge Update - WORKOUT 003

I've been out of shape for 20 years. This is the 3rd in my new video series to see how long it takes to fix that.

After 3 days of this...

I've come to find that your feedback and encouragement keeps me doing it.

Ouch! I feel for you. Especially since the advice is to rest between days of extreme exercise. Keep up the good work!

Also, I have my app set to record what I'm doing to my Apple Health app. Today it's almost as if it remembered what combination of exercises it gave me yesterday and adjusted for today to concentrate more on upper boddy rather than lower. Yesterday, it planked me twice, same with push-ups. Today it only once for each of those and it was early on in the workout. And I love the 30 second breaks it gives you every 4 exercises or so.

I don't really find this too extreme. I mean compared to nothing, yeah I suppose. But it's cool. I'm just now starting to feel sore. Took 3 days. I may rest tomorrow. Either way I'll have something to post.

How many minutes are you doing?

By default the app does 17 exercises with maybe 3 breaks for a total of 15 minutes.

Love those short intense workouts!! They allow you to get on with your day and especially first thing in the morning I find exercise actually gives you energy!

If you were sore this morning you got the DOMS. Probably because your metabolism which nourishes and repairs your muscle cells is out of practice. Best way to avoid DOMS is with extra protein immediately after a work out with some sugar (from a banana or piece of fruit) to help your metabolism get the protein to your muscles fast. Another way to avoid DOMS is

DON'T GIVE UP

If you take a 2 week rest your metabolism will go back to sleep and when you restart it will be out of practice again.

I know exercise is serious business, but that music had me laughing, nice work :)

That one? Really? I figured the music from Day 001 would be cheesier. Eye of the Tiger...can't get much more cliche than that.
