Filmmaker's Diaries: Filmed the Last Real Estate Video for Free.

Hello and welcome to another Filmmaker’s diary!

Yesterday I finally filmed my friend's apartment in order to finish my Real Estate Portfolio/ web site.

Got up, did some meditation, took a shower walked to the car rental place and went and filmed it.

It was a long time coming but now it’s done.

Very excited to edit it and finish it.

Of course, the people were late. I to there almost an hour after the original agreement and still, they were cleaning and making the beds…

. Lesson 1 - Be sure that the people will be on time and that the place is clean and ready to film. I can state in the contract that if the place is not clean I will charge extra to pay a cleaning lady the day before.

. Lesson 2 - Really make sure you will be out in time. Originally, I had timed the shoot in order for me to be out of there at four (before rush hour). Well, this lesson I had learned it before but this time it got engraved. No matter what, I must be done at three. That way even when the thing delays for an hour I can still make it.

Yesterday, I did catch rush hour and took an hour to get home, instead of 20 minutes.

Then, I don’t think I’ll be able to use the footage with stabilizer. Must train and train some more. The thing here that I had not consider it’s the autofocus… it does change the balance… I was thinking it wouldn’t like the camera lens wouldn’t change size. But I guess it does. A lot of the footage went sideways at points… I’ll see.

Normally I’m filming a restaurant on Saturday (need to see the water) but would love to be able to use the stabilizer then… Let’s see. Really need to get this down… would love to practice all. The time, but all my hours are fully booked.

Another issue was the bathrooms. .. they are usually hard… but these ones were even harder. Not only were they super small, but they actually reflected all over… not only a. A mirror but like mirrors on the side…

. Lesson 3 - Be sure to get an overview of the bathrooms.
