Filmamker's Diaries: First Photography Gig. (12/10/2018)
Hello and welcome to another Filmmaker’s diary!
Last week I did my first photography gig. Previously I mentioned that it’s kinda funny people assume that if you’re a filmmaker your a photographer (And whatever occupation you say the film needs).
Personally I’ve never been much of a photographer nor a Dp (Director of photography), the Dp route is something that I’m learning a lot about this year and I’m getting better at it. Important to do videos and no budget projects.
All this to say that I’m not much of a photographer.
But since, I’m launching the video companies and learning cinematography, I was thinking of getting a photography gig option going on as well.
Specially, for the real estate videos, everyones agrees that you should provide the option of photographing the houses. Agents prefer to have a one stop shop.
In the middle of this my friend asked me if I could go and take pictures of his shop. (I guess one of those cases people assume your a photographer heheh)
So I did. I also did some filming.
I finished editing the pictures on Ligthroom, very exited to be learning this program. And I have the videos to edit now.
The videos will not be memorable since the filming was a bit un organised… and there was just no movement and so on… But I’ll edit them quickly and it’s a business I can put as a reference on the website.

Exactly!! I'm quite excited about his business opportunities also. Stay in the game while practicing some aspects of your art, sounds good to me.
