After more than one hour debating, Mat my son, who had remained silent rises trying to reassure everyone. Mat's with apparent gesture of concern and frowning, is situated in the center of the room. “What can we do? “All stayed silent. We look at each other without speaking.
David staring me gets up to speak, “we have to monitor closely those robots, and our best option is try to destroy them. They seem to be looking for some ore that they need. We plunge the boat if it approaches, we have no alternative.”
We prepare vigilante groups for this night; we agreed that if the boat is approaching to the coast we will destroy it. We have long range weapons thanks to the last people who arrived here. Let's hope they are enough.
All we stand giving ended the meeting.
A repetitive sound leaves us paralyzed; none of us had heard a sound like this since we're on the island. The sound intensity increases, whatever is coming. The sound comes from the North; the sound of an engine is most evident.
The terrain of the northern area of the island is very steep; no vehicle can climb that wall. Whatever it is, it comes flying and will be here soon.
Muscle gets stuck, it is approaching us; David hurries to load one of our large-caliber weapons. We stand in silence; a few red lights pass over us without stopping. This changes everything. We have to do something this night; we cannot allow ourselves to be discovered.
Nervous David, organizes the guards of the base into three groups, the first group sleeps, watches the second and the third go out hunting.
We don't speak, be aware that we aren’t alone terrified us. We aren't accustomed to receive visitors.

He and two other men go hunting. The night is dark, high clouds do not allow us to see the moon. A few drops of sweat along my forehead, the night is warm. They drive away in the dark following the direction that a few minutes earlier followed the object.
I have to remember how these weapons work, did not practice in last year’s. Each one leaves to the assigned stand, we all know what to do if a mechanical monstrosity is coming.
The adrenaline flowing uncontrolled through my veins allows me to descent of the Observatory in a couple of minutes.
Children sleep, none has woken up to the sound of the flying object. I hide behind the huge rock that covers much of the entrance to the bedroom with my loaded weapon pointing outwards.
Sweat gets in the eyes, I just try to keep them open, use the back of the hand to wipe my forehead. I can hardly recover the breath; I'm too old for these races and stiller to fight robots. The heart burns me, stifling heat takes over my chest, my legs falter, and I’m losing the sense…
