Eat this: Sticky Tender Cola Ribs
If you looking for sticky, fall off the bone ribs look no further!
These are so tender and sticky there’s no need to go out to the steak house when you can whip these up in your own house whether in the oven or on the bbq/braai they will be a hit:)
What you will need :
1 kg ribs (I like loin ribs)
1 Cup cola
2 Tbl Apricot jam
1/2 Tsp American mild mustard
1 Tbl Sweet chili sauce (my fav is Wellington)
2 Tbl Brown sugar
1 Cup Water
Cover with foil
Preheat oven to 200’C 425’F
Cook for +/- 2.5 hours
Add half a cup of water to the pan and more if needed during the cooking process to stop the sticky sauce burning.
Check every 30 min or so to make sure it hasn’t dried out.
Towards the end off the cooking time you want the sauce to thicken and use this to baste the ribs, so don’t add any more water then.
When the ribs are tender take off the foil and cook for a further 10-15 mins under the grill or on the braai/bbq until crispy and sticky. Basting often.
