Paying my pizza with DigiByte
You have probably heard about the "Pizza day", that day celebrated and widely commented by many people in the crypto community. It is a celebration held throughout the world to celebrate a super simple but momentous event for Bitcoin cryptocurrency.
On that May 22, 2010, two pizzas equivalent to 41 USD were purchased with 10,000 BTC by a man named Laszlo Hanyecz. This was the first use in the real world of Bitcoin as a payment system.
To date, it would not fit in your head to pay for a pizza with such an amount of BTC, and I wonder, how much does a pizza with the same characteristics with DGB cost?
Considering that each pizza is worth 20.5 USD, at today's price (October 30, 2018) we would be paying approx. 970,8023 DGB for that pizza that once cost Laszlo 5,000 BTC. Amazing, right?
More incredible would be to think, that just 4 years ago (August 2014), this pizza would have cost us approx. 93181,8182 DGB (almost 100 times more than now), and it is expected that each time, this pizza costs us much less, because DGB continues to grow in adoption, with a team committed to improving its technology, at the head of its founder Jared Tate, always focused on the daily needs of the market.
In addition, it is important to highlight the important work being done by the DGBAT team (DigiByte Awareness Team), who with great enthusiasm, continue to contribute to the DigiByte recognition in the market, reaching important allies that will allow little by little to achieve greater adoption of this cryptoactive .
I invite you to pay for your next pizza with DGB. If the merchant does not know what you're talking about, show them the pizza day and invite him to be part of the story as well. Let's make our own #DGBPizzaDay
