Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my poetry. Prepare to die.

In a piggy bank,
hoarded I pithy phrases —
which I dared not use —

Stashing Words Away by @joeylim is a fantastic piece of poetry that describes something every writer is probably familiar with- collecting words and phrases for future work. I loved his use of alliteration and metaphor, especially the idea of words rusting like pennies.

Now departing from sucker town. Headed to elsewhereville.
You might be surprised to discover that I've never been anywhere.
Not to one place. Not even to the place that I am now, because there's no such thing as where, only who and why.

Departure by @improv is an interesting piece of philosophy, but the style that it's written in has absolutely earned itself a place in creative writing.

“What do you mean, you have to ask your husband first? It’s just a women’s volleyball league for Pete’s sake!”

Take Control by @blueeyes8960 is a piece of micro-fiction that has all the aspects that good micro-fiction has- distinct middle beginning end, tension, characters that you learn to care for quickly.

"You agree do you, Arnold?" he picked up his own glass, the liquid inside definitely not beer. Dark red, wine perhaps. He took a sip, not taking his eyes from those of the fat man, who had begun to sweat more than he had before, damp patches formed in his armpits, and beads ran down his forehead.

Hear! Hear!" by @felt.buzz has a distinct feeling of tension that makes for a really strong freewriting piece.

You have to hear it with your eyes

I understood.

Hear Hear by @owasco makes masterful use of juxtaposition and metaphor- I love the ideas and how they are expressed.
