Confirmed: South Korea Government Will Support Cryptocurrency Trading And Transactions
Choe Heung-sik, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) Chief confirmed that the government will support cryptocurrency trading and will encourage banks to facilitate transactions with crypto exchanges.
Choe noted that the government is in support for the cryptocurrency industry to flourish across South Korea particularly with normal transactions of cryptocurrencies.
This news has officially killed the fears of a rumored cryptocurrency ban in the country.
The real-name trading system is still mandated by the government to put an end to anonymous trading of cryptocurrencies, which is a good thing in general.
A University In Australia Launches The Country's First Open Blockchain Course
RMIT, an Australian public research university is launching the first online short course dedicated on blockchain technology and the underlying innovation behind Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrencies.
Blockchain has emerged as a disruptive and game-changing technology and has spurred the University to offer the first online course on the sector.
The title of the course is 'Developing Blockchain Strategy' which is an eight-week program and will start on March 19, 2018 with a curriculum co-designed by the RMIT Blockchain.
If a participant completes the course he or she will be eligible for a one full credit unit into selected business programs of RMIT at a master or bachelor level to be recognized by potential employers.
