  • I lived in Reno for a year. Learned this card counting system. Kept track of all play. I exactly broke even.
    • BUT, I got a ton of free drinks. And when I left I grabbed all the 50 cent pieces I had won and thrown in a dresser drawer. I had $700+!!!

High Yield Gardening

  • Why I plant nearly everything in wide rows or some call it "intensive gardening."

Jonathon Cahn The Mystery of the Shemitah

I read the 7 habits & also the 8th habit. What is that ultimate fake book all about? Very interesting. My mom has and has had hundreds of books. Thanks for sharing books. We all are libraries.

Steven Covey is a very good author. I like his logic.

The ultimate Fake book is chords and melody line of hundreds of songs. I use it to play my sax. Someone can join in if they play guitar or know chords on the piano. A very cheap way to get hundreds of songs...

You're welcome.
We should turn all those "man caves" back into libraries and the world would be a better place!

Yeah, it would, except my husband is a bibliophile AND has a man cave, but I'd kill him if he put the books in with his mechanics, or the mechanics in with the books...

I have the 2 volume official Ford Service manuals + the official electrical & schematics book for my Ford pickup. They are out in the garage...

Ha. We just chucked a Peugot one...

Quite the collection. I'm afraid my bookshelf doesn't have as many rows. :)

I'm not even sure where the books are that I read as a youth. Must be with my parents if they weren't thrown out. Checked out a lot from the library, too.

I haven't read the Rabbi Cahn book about the Shemitah, but I have read The Harbinger. Incredible, fascinating and pretty eerie really, if any of it is true.

He's a messianic jew, too, so that makes him standout, I think.

Most of what I have to read are novels, with one or two non-fiction books thrown in. My wife has a bunch of cookbooks. Nothing on electricity, though or homesteading, which I actually should look into more. :)

The wife and I are bookhounds. We do a lot of thrift store shopping. One of our favorite things to do when we travel...

  • I haven't unpacked my set of Childcraft that was a favorite when in grade school, or the 30 or so volume of handyman repair books printed in the 50's. Shows how to repair toasters, change the oil in your car, build things for your house... Really cool... Really useless haha since it's cheaper to buy a new throwaway appliance nowadays than have them repaired. I guess it does have some useful info. I picked it up mainly for the nostalgia than the actual DIY instructions.
    • We have a few boxes of kids books for when the grandkids come over. Still have to figure out where to put that bookshelf...

Read this book and saw the movie...
Yes, it really makes you think!

The Harbinger

This is an interesting and a cool post! If I get some time, I would love to show off the books in my library too.

Thanks @cyber.explorer! I look forward to your post!

putting it together now. :-)

Congrats @cyber.explorer you are contestant #2!

  • Judging by the books you read, we have a lot in common. Asimov is a great author! The Hobbit... Computer books... I'll comment more over on your post.
    • Nice to meet you!

thanks, nice to meet you as well.

There are a few books here but nothing worthy of calling a library .. The books are not mine .. I rarely read.

I do have about 2000 DVD's.

They say you are ... the movies you watch ...

  • Be on the lookout for a future contest featuring that. 😏

Congrats @leemlaframboise you are the first contestant!

  • Wow! Judging by our books, we have a LOT in common!
    • Nice to meet you!!!

Here's my entry into the competition @wizardave 😊

I have added a twist of magic to your wonderful competition and i am offering 1 share of @steembasicincome myself too for one lucky person (they have to read my blog post) here.

Wishing you warm wizard smiles 😊

Congrats on being the 3rd entry @happysmileyman!
You must be a powerful wizard to have a library like that 😎

  • I see many books I would enjoy...
    • I will update my post to link to your challenge, also.

Good luck

Blessings all round @wizardave 😊

Congrats you are a WINNER!!!

What fun this has been!

I have almost 14,000 books in storage, a nearly complete list of them, and few pictures.
Two favorite topics are languages and science fiction.

OOOOh - I love science fiction. I didn't post about my sci fi books - my post was getting too long and arduous!! My Mum also has a biggg sci fi shelf. I'm fussy with teh quality of the writing, though!
