I am happy to announce the results of the Daily Bread contest. And first of all, I thank each and every participant of the contest for enriching it with their works. I'm amazed at how many talented authors took part in the contest which received a total of 40 entries!

The Shortlist

Here’s the shortlist of nominees counting 12 participants, in no particular order:

Every shortlist member who included their Bitshares address will receive 20 DBREAD tokens. Keep them as they may have value in the future. The dream behind this token is to help talented authors focus on their writing without worrying too much about their income. The tokens can also be rewarded for community service and spent on education purposes on our upcoming portal where we will offer various learning programs.

There is also a special prize from EasyDex exchange for every nominee — 2 EASYDEX.PB tokens. These are portfolio builder tokens — by keeping them you will be receiving receive regular sharedrops of all of the crypto assets for which EasyDex runs bridge services in the amount of 50% of the market fees collected on the exchange. They were designed for investors who want to maintain an ever-expanding portfolio of a variety of crypto tokens. If you’re one of them, it’s a good time to buy more as the presale has just begun.

Those shortlist members who didn't yet enter their Bitshares address, feel free to do so till the end of the next week. After May, 27th, the unclaimed tokens will be sent to those participants who entered their addresses but didn't enter the short list.

The Winner

I’ve had a hard time choosing the winner and my choice is subjective — all shortlist members can be proud of their work. Nevertheless, there should be a winner in this contest and it’s...

Common Themes: Love, Death, and Bots

This contest gives the readers an interesting perspective of what happens in the minds of contemporary writers. The prevalent themes were love, death and… bots. While the first two ones are timeless, the robots / AI theme is the sign of modern time pointing to a new myth entering the collective unconscious.

Thanks again to all the participants! This is only the beginning, so follow this space for more events!

All participants of this contest will be able to take part in the future Daily Bread contests as long as they apply with a new quality entry, because the goal of it is to promote and support good writing.
