Week 28 - Win a Membership in Steem Basic Income - Tell us About a Favorite Freewrite
A Favorite Freewrite
Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.
Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.
We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!
The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪
See the rules below for details.
In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.
To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.
Win, Win, Win!!!

I was reading some stories from today's prompt, run for your life, and I ran across this post from @d00k13. He created a post on getting Steem listed on Netcoins. If we all vote, maybe we can push Steem to the top of the list. I've voted 3 days in a row, there's still time, go vote. Great post @d00k13 just in time. 👏

How would I go about becoming a sponsor? I have limited time for curation and not the largest wallet but I see you have many regulars participating in this area already. Furthermore I deeply appreciated the warm welcoming I received and consistent interaction so this leads me to wonder how best I can support your cause?

I believe @mariannewest or @freewritehouse could better answer your sponsor question. Hopefully one of them could chime in @d00k13
Oh, thank you so much for wanting to sponsor us!! There are many ways. You could sponsor a particular contest or have some kind of ongoing donation. I.e. if you want to do a set amount of steem per week, for example, we can either widen the prize pool or add something else with a reward.
Or you could sponsor a contest by upvoting the participants, or some. Or, sponsor one contest a month. Really, totally up to you. Anything that will bring more value to the freewrites is appreciated!!
A delegation works too. 🙂 And it doesn't have to be a huge amount either
I hope these aren't past payout. If so, I'll look for more from the same authors. First, @felt.buzz "using the freewrite prompt and the 365daysofwriting picture prompt as part of my training for NaNoWriMo" blew me away with this one: https://steemit.com/writing/@felt.buzz/uiexmkxz
It's clever and fun. I love the Steemit connection. And this: the only possible good use time travel can be put to is superficial use. If it is used for the big stuff it creates all sorts of trouble.
Next, I love @honeydue's young heroine, daring to challenge the old queen who seems to be resting on her laurels and losing her concern for others as the years go by -- this is a memorable tale, a standout, and an inspiration. https://steemit.com/freewrite/@honeydue/reines-freewrite

As a grandma, I love @honeydue's message:
"And in their grandmother's home, little Thomas and Marly had learned that not all different was bad, that they could feel good and free somewhere other than their parents' house."
Also, as a mother, I appreciate it because my mom isn't fond of housekeeping, and my nieces dreaded how "dirty" Gma's house is - never mind that dirt is healthier than Lysol! - Americans are overly hygienic and scientists can attest that our germ-phobic soaps have helped create resistant strains of bacteria.
The final line (SPOILER WARNING) is a killer:
And in a secret chamber, in the shallows of her heart, she hoped it hadn't happened yet. That they hadn't driven by the house, forgetting where she lived.

Once again, I cannot stop at just one freewrite to recommend. And I went with the dry lips prompt and it was mostly all about love, sex, and fiction, so I thought I would not even find one. But yes, here are two:
@stinawog is reminding me of the Santa Ana winds I had so much trouble with during my time in Southern California and giving me another reason to be glad I left that place.
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@stinawog/5-minute-freewrite-dry-lips
He also mentions lack of sleep being a big reason for everyone's troubles in every way and I completely agree with that. And finally, he's getting a mega-vote from sbi, so he is my hero and someone I want to be like when I grow up.
@teresah has a much more hopeful post about celebrating her 63rd birthday with lots of good wishes coming her way. Many happy returns to you @teresah, and I am not far behind you :)

4 @fitinfun
Halloween has arrived early because of the picture prompt of two dolls by @wandernrose7 and I got chills when I read a great story written by @caolkean. Freaky looking dolls continue to mysteriously show up at a person's antique shop along with newspaper clippings of homicides. Hmmm...I wonder who is behind all of this. Check out this chilling mystery!
