A Favorite Freewrite

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

Remember the comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit!

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

So, to be entered into the drawing, tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why. Choose from the last couple of days so others can go, visit inspired by your description, and leave a vote.

This is great, an opportunity to remember and recommend friends and their writings. Today I want to talk to you about @claret she is a new writer in the Spanish Freewrite project and she was also the winner of the first contest in her first week. This freewrite is not the one that won but it is another of the good works that she presented. Although it is a short writing, it can expose a real problem for many people in the world. I hope you enjoy reading it. Here I leave the link:

Muchisimas gracias por el apoyo! Los conoci y me encantó esta iniciativa

This story by @iamjadeline pulls at the heartstrings and tells the story of hope and pure, unselfish love. The story of a family who's physical health might be as delicate as a butterfly, but who's inner strength more than makes up for it! It is a sweet story with so much depth and interesting details, I was really glad that she went over the five minutes to finish the story. Well worth the read! https://steemit.com/freewrite/@iamjadeline/the-butterfly-family-freewrite-prompt-delicate-3b04b25236d3f

I'm nominating this post by @cryptocopy:
When habits break | Freewrite

This post is about procrastination and the difficulties in starting new habits. In @cryptocopy's case, she is trying to post daily on steemit. Quote:
"Who knew starting a habit was such a delicate thing?"

I work with this issue continually, since I help obese people to lose weight with natural methods. Starting habits are in fact, delicate things. We make promises to ourselves and then go off the rails on Day One if not Hour One.

Relating this back to steemit and posting here, this is actually pretty easy for me. I post photo posts, freewrite, and longer posts into ulogs and steemiteductation. My goal is 2-4 posts daily and I normally make it.

One key trick I use is to get my first steemit post out FIRST thing. No other work on any platform can take over that first spot in my day. I have had this resolve since Nov 2017, and so far, it mostly works for me.

The second trick is to post another post right before bed if I do not have 4 published already. I've gotten to the point where I cannot sleep unless I get this last-post-of-the-day done.

But the problem I have is with the longer posts. I can do the photo posts quickly and so sometimes they take over my feed entirely. @cryptocopy mentions that one of her sticking points is wondering if her post is not good enough to publish. This is no longer my problem. Anytime I post something I think is stupid or not worthy, that is the post guaranteed to get attention!

https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/quit-freewrite

Today I would like to feature a #freewrite from a new writer @mariannewest 🐱 she wrote a truthful story about quitting a job and what's keeping everybody from quitting their job, money! I know that when I worked at the post office, usually during the Christmas season, I often thought about quitting my job. But since I was on the old retirement statement CSRS, I had a lot to look forward too after 30 years. Great eye-opener Marianne! 👏

4 @wonderwop

You really found a brand new freewriter 🤪😂

I'm nominating this one: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@wordymouth/the-perfect-day-of-lounging

It's not the usual fictional stories that I like to read, but it caught my eye and I can relate to so very much of his thoughts. So much so that I could have almost written the entire thing myself.

I realized that it is a perfect freewrite, just his thoughts traveling what is probably a somewhat well worn path in his mind as he thinks about the future. I think we all spend a lot of time thinking about what we want to do when our "have to" jobs are finished and we can retire. He has a lot of great thoughts that I think are worth the read!
