We’ve all come across different personalities in life. There is the sweet-hearted soul who inspire others simply by being genuine in-nature. There is the city-slicker, who oozes with compliments and charm but are the words genuine? You all know about the conniving back-stabber, the bestest of friend to you when there is an audience, but is destructive with snide comments or actions behind your back. Let’s not forget the happy-camper, who in general, is happy and spreads around those good vibes.
Tell us about a personality you’ve come across in life or on Steemit.
You can mention the person if he/she is on Steemit and you feel we should follow him/her. Tell us your story. We would love to learn about the wonderful people on here. Obviously, if the person is in the conniving category, we don’t need names to bring forth bad vibes.

ok...I wrote that several days ago, and came back to your post to find I hadn't hit the "post" button. Geez I must need sleep :)
I wanna tell you my true to life story about my two best of friends, I named them Dodeth and Ellen. Dodeth is my bestfriend from first year highschool until we graduated and split at collage. Ellen is my neighborhood childhood friend. Days goes by faster and we had a own family and didn't much more seeing each other. They become friends too when I introduce them to each other. Long story shorts, they are seeing each other and sometimes me and Ellen talking at the phone and Dodeth many times visited me at my home. Ellen told me once that Dodeth said something not good for me, She told her blah blah. I'm getting upset and hurt but one thing I stick to my mind is...they are my friends. No need to stabbing back at all. If she do that to me maybe she had a problem and I need to understand her, and I didn't told her about Ellen says to me, and maybe it is a good moves co'z until now we are good friends still. Sometimes we need to know the time, when we talk, and when to silent, and zipped our mouth, for our own good. This is a nice provoking post my dear @beeyou...I voice out what's in my heart, good luck and more power.
That's a great story @sweetcha. You shared with us the value of friendship. If you had the type of personality that held a grudge, you would have thought Dodeth a backstabber and stopped being friends. Instead, you chose to see the good side of people. You were hurt. I would have been too. But you picked friendship over what could have been a backstabbing drama. Years later, you guys are all friends.

I’m going to be as vague as possible about the identify of this person while still giving the amount of detail necessary: There was this guy I went to grad school with. He studied in the same department but he was in a slightly different program, one that took one student a year out of dozens of applicants. He is the single most brilliant person I’ve ever met in my life. He’s the kind of person who makes you wonder if he has some sort of crazy genetic mutation that allows his brain to work far above the capacity of normal human beings. He spoke something like ten languages fluently, even mastering their accents. Every other person I’ve ever met who I would describe as being around that level of intelligence also tended to experience at least some level of existential angst, or an inability to really connect with other human beings on a level that they’d find fulfilling. This guy wasn’t like that at all. He was always smiling and saw the bright side in every situation while also being sympathetic when you were having a hard time, he was a great listener, was always dependable—just the sort of person who made you feel comfortable and at ease. I would usually be intimidated by that level of intelligence but I never felt that way around him. We became really good friends over the two years I knew him, but we gradually lost touch after I left.
A few years later, I found out that the entire time, he was having this tormented and sadistic relationship with a very young student of his, and the details of it all were just…creepy. Definitely not what I would have expected, and I consider myself a pretty good judge of character. I guess people are often much more complicated than you know.
…aaaaand I just realized yet again that I posted about something super dark.
So he had some skeletons in the closet. Goes to show a brilliant mind doesn't necessary mean a shining heart. People are definitely complicated and have their um, quirks (to put it politely). I guess it's a good thing you guys lost touch. It would be awkward, to say the least, to know all this and still be friends.

Well i can only think of one person. Not sure if he's officially on Steemit though.
He usually posts 1 min vids on Facebook of only positive and informative posts everyday. His posts are insightful and always focused on goodness more often. He's a very positive influencer.

I finally found time to watch the video. He’s good @artgirl! I would say he is a positive influencer, educating people to build a better community, a better world for the next generation. Maybe he’ll come on Steemit one day and bring forth the good vibes. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah. His latest video is abt not quitting and that's really inspirational. Happy that you finally got the time to watch his vids. He is indeed very positive with his posts.
I think he will stay with Facebook though. Haha. Unless someone convinces him but I think it won't matter to him at all so he will probably keep posting on Facebook. I dunno. I'm fine if he comes over or not. 😊
I’m sure someone will show him the Steemit way. One day. I read a post the other day about porn possibly coming on the blockchain too. Imagine that. Whatever are we passing on to our next generation. Bound to happen I guess. Positive people are sorely needed to combat some of the ‘bad vibes’.
I went on FB today after months of not bothering and saw a friend celebrating her son’s 18th birthday! I swear he was like 10 the last time I chatted with her on FB. As you can tell, not much of a social media gal. 🙂

Last night I had a dream that one of my posts went viral and made it to trending. OMG, the pending payout went from 20 to 70 and up and up. Lol. It was so darn vivid! I woke up, checked my phone, and alas, not a Steemit millionaire.

I want to highlight that personality which always feels the need to play the devil's advocate. No matter what idea you have, they rebound with the possible negative outcome - with every opinion you have they immediately jump on the opposite side of the argument just to be disruptive. I really think they may assume they're being useful by making you look at all the angles but in all honesty it gets very frustrating! Sometimes you just want your devil's advocate friend/relative to agree with you but they let you down every time! Even when it's something you know they agree with you on they still choose to jump across the line and play out their part!
I hope this is a good entry! I deal with a person like this all the time and it used to get me really pissed off but I've learned that it is just in their nature and perhaps they really so think they're helping you to see both sides or to know where the weaknesses are in your beliefs so I tend to let them have a go and remind myself that I will not feed into their need for a debate! <3 Great contest @beeyou
We definitely can’t forget the devil’s advocate! The one who believe they are helping you out by questioning your every action. There is always one of those. Great example!
I have a cousin-in law who was the instigator for everything. True devils advocate. As like you, there were times I wished he would just talk to me instead of instigating over everything. He past away a few years back much too soon. I don’t have any other family or friends that are the devils advocate and I miss that part of him now. I miss him period but that pesky side always provoked me because that’s what he did. reminiscing smile here..thanks for bringing back a memory of him @amariespeaks.
awww @beeyou so sorry for your loss - but I'm happy I've reminded you and sparked some love for you cousin! This is a case study of my dad LOL so believe me I know all about that pesky side ;-) I'm sure I'll miss it one day too but right now.. not so much!
And there’s is no nice way to say stop, because he is your dad. I know he does it out of love and is just watching out for his baby @amariespeaks. A daddy will always want the best for his little girl.

I want to talk about my wonderfully sweet, compassionate, beautiful mother, @mamajeani! She has always been the mother to everyone. Her name on here is mamajeani because thats literally what shes been called since I was in middle school and my sister in high school. Shes always been the one that makes dinner for all the kids whos parents always worked or just werent around. Every weekend, we would have big get together of our friends and family with a big dinner for all to share. Thats where my love for cooking came from. She has shown me how to be the perfect mother by simply being her. Shes taught me how to be the perfect person by simply being her. Shes taught me how to forgive and let go, no one needs the weight of the world on their shoulders from that. Shes taught me how to appreciate the little things, to smell the flowers, to just have the damn cake! Shes made me who I am and Im so proud to be her daughter. Shes perfect... <3

Hi @smylie2005. I finally had a chance to read all about your lovely mamajeani. She too is another giver, like Sharon's Ma (kismet2018). I admire those that open their hearts and hearth to people less fortunate. I know as a kid, I used to go to my family or family friend's home when my parents had to work late. They all opened their door to me and I would have been considered one of those kids your mamajeani cooked a grand meal for and fed.
Thank you @mamajeani for sharing your love with others and sharing your wonderful recipes with others! I am going to find the time to make one of them these days and let you know how it goes. Either your recipe or @smylie2005, who posted this beef tip recipe I've been wanting to try. :)
