Beautiful Sunday in Aosta Valley -- 美丽的周末在Aosta河谷

每周五天的实验室生活几乎一直坐在电脑前，去年右手臂出现了些问题，在医生诊断为不可治愈，只能靠运动慢慢恢复以后，我才意识到问题的严重性。所以从那之后在没有deadline的每周，自己都会去打两次球游一次泳，周末也会去郊区走走。

都灵是一个建立在群山环抱的河流路冲击平原上的城市，意大利国王的第一个首都就建在都灵，都灵现在依然完整的保存着皇宫，皇后宫。都灵这样的地理位置很像我的家乡洛阳，看来古人在选择都城的时候都考虑到了既要天然屏障，又要土地肥沃这两个因素。

Turin is a city was built on the a flood plain surrounded by mountains. It was the capital of the king of Italy, you could visit the royal palace in this city. Such a geographical location of Turin is very like my hometown Luoyang, it seems that our ancients in different countries, when they chose where as the capital they had taken into account both the natural barrier and the fertile land such two factors.

在都灵的西北方向，有一个意大利的自治区，名字叫Aosta。Aosta大区是整个意大利20个大区里面面积最小的一个，整个大区就在一条细长的河谷里，所以意大利人也叫Aosta大区为Aosta Valley。这条河谷的尽头就是欧洲的最高峰，勃朗峰。因为Aosta大区与瑞士和法国接壤，也是历史原因，这里很多地名都是法语地名，今天我来的这个小镇子就叫做Châtillon, 但它也有一个意大利语名字，Saint-Vincent。我有同事来自这个大区，他们从小也是双语教学，意大利语和法语都要学。

Aosta Valley is the smallest region in Italy; in its northwest, it is located between France and Switzerland. You can take the train or car visit the towns in the Aosta valley that spends about 1 hour. The Mont Blanc stands at the beginning point of the Aosta valley.

Aosta Valley整体很狭长，除了像勃朗峰，大天堂国家公园，还有很多特色的小镇子。这些小镇一个接一个，因为它们都在绵延的阿尔卑斯山脚下，所以大部分小镇都成为了滑雪胜地。有些小镇因为还有阿尔卑斯山的天然温泉，受到意大利人的格外欢迎。还有一个值得游玩的就是，这些小镇里，几乎每一个都有一座超过百年的古堡，要塞在山顶或者半山腰上，因为过去这个地区是法国和意大利常年你争我夺的地区。

The whole shape of Aosta valley is very narrow, in addition to the Mont Blanc, Grand Paradise National Park, there are many characteristic towns in the valley. These towns are one by one located at the foot of the Alps, so most of the towns have become the ski resort. 因为现在还没有下雪，这里的游客还不多，基本上都是本地居民。镇子不大，就两条主街，也不是很长。但是很干净，路边也都种满了鲜花。 镇子上的教堂也在主街上。

Aosta河谷每年从十月底十一月初就可以开始滑雪，因为大量的滑雪爱好者和周末来这里泡温泉的城里人。主街的两旁基本都是旅馆和饭店。十月正是意大利人吃蘑菇的季节（最近也是意大利Alba一年一度的松露节），餐馆也专门贴出来了蘑菇料理的海报（PS，虽然山上都是各种各样的蘑菇，而且蘑菇的价钱非常贵，但是在意大利没有采蘑菇的证件，私自采蘑菇被森林警察抓到，将面临高额罚款）。

在意大利大部分大区是不允许开赌场的，威尼斯可以，还有几个自治区可以开设赌场。Aosta大区里有一个规模还可以的赌场，赌场只允许Aosta的当地居民进入赌场玩老虎机，不允许参与其他的。
