巴塞罗那是西班牙的第二大城市，巴塞罗那因为它丰富多彩的建筑资源每年吸引着无数旅行爱好者。英国皇家建筑学会也唯一地一次把它的皇家建筑金奖颁给了一座城市，而非单座建筑物。毋庸置疑，是高迪的建筑成就了巴塞罗那，巴塞罗那被称为高迪之城一点不为过。巴塞罗那城中一共有9座建筑或建筑群被联合国教科文组织的世界遗产收录，高迪的作品就占了7个。不过在我看来也是巴塞罗那成就了高迪，巴塞罗那城中的名门望族选择给了高迪展示自己对建筑理解的机会。

巴特罗之家是由高迪为新兴资本家巴特罗改造的蓝色童话之家，设计灵感来源于加泰罗尼亚地区的民间故事——圣乔治屠龙救公主（高迪的设计充满了加泰罗尼亚元素，我想这是巴塞罗那的有上流社会愿意投资高迪的一个很大原因），面具造型的阳台和骨骼形状的立柱，增强了故事的奇异气氛。但是刚刚落成的巴特洛公寓当时没有受到认可，有人把它称为骷髅之家，因为它外面的阳台的造型。巴特罗之家的内部设计如同高迪所说的，没有直线和棱角，全是柔和的波浪形。通往屋顶的螺形楼梯也是来源于大自然的灵感。巴特罗之家的外墙和屋顶也是典型的高迪设计，整栋建筑的外墙面被迷幻般的马赛克贴满，屋顶脊线酷似斑斓的鱼鳞。整个巴特罗之家就如同一个梦幻的水族馆。

米拉之家和巴特罗之家就在一条路上，步行十分钟左右，这两个地方离加泰罗尼亚广场都很近，在格拉西亚大道逛逛各种名牌的店面就到了这两个之家。值得一提的是米拉之家是高迪设计的最后一个私人住宅。米拉之家还有一个别名是采石场。大波浪形的外观，是由白色的石材砌出的外墙，扭曲回绕的铁条和铁板构成的阳台栏杆，和宽大的窗户构成。个人觉得米拉之家没有巴特罗之家色彩丰富，但米拉之家的屋顶有一种天行者矗立在沙漠星球的感觉，其实这些矗立的天行者就是米拉之家的烟囱。
