A City A Story Photo Weekly Contest#17.1 -【OLD HOUSE】~小城故事相片比賽#17.1-【舊居】

In Hong Kong, we are very hard to find the old house in the city! The old house as the above photo was built before the war, there were some signature arcade that was supported by brick pillars and crosses the pavement in front of the tenement house!

在香港，我們很難在巿區找到舊居了，在上面照片所出現的建築物是在戰前建成的唐樓，這些唐樓的特式就是會有由磚柱支撐的柱子，穿過了住宅樓前的人行道去承托著騎樓！

Many of them was as same as the above photo, didn't repair, seems very dangerous! I remembered my grandmom's house that was a very old tenement house at Tai Wong Street East! There were very dark inside, a long long stair, the flat was separated into two parts. One side was the sitting room and bed room, the other side was the kitchen and toilet!

很多的唐樓好像上面的照片一樣，日久失修看起來很危險似的！ 還記得我的祖母以前住的唐樓是位於大王街東的一橦非常古舊的樓宇！有 一條長長的樓梯，裡面很黑，公寓分成兩部分， 一邊是客廳和臥室，另一邊是廚房和衛生間！

Another signature of the tenement house was most of them have shop at the ground floor, so people also called them shop house! Some of their staffs or family would living at the upper floor, or use the whole building to be a shop!

唐樓的另一個特式就是他們大部分的地下層都是商店，所以人們也稱他們為商店房子！ 他們的一些員工或家人會住在樓上，又或者有些會使用整棟建築物作為商店！

Nowadays, many of old houses were rebuild by government! You can find many articles wrote by @aaronli , he told you many stories of the old houses!

如今因為巿區重建計劃，這些古舊的樓字已經寥寥無幾！ 你可以在 @aaronli 寫的文章在裡找到許多老房子的故事！
