A City A Story Photo Weekly Contest#16.1 -【BUSKER】~小城故事相片比賽#16.1-【街頭表演】

This is Mr.Wally, a street performer from Japan. Hong Kong people should be familiar with him. Today, after passing Wanchai from the MTR exit of Johnston Road, I heard some nice guitar sound coming from the ground! I feel lucky because the topic of city story of this week is busker, so I get closer and find that is Mr. Wally. I take a photo immediately and listen to his performance!

Mr. Wally was welcomed by Hong Kong people because he had been banned from performing in the pedestrian precinct in Mongkok because he did not have a Hong Kong identity card. From his interview, he was full of music passion. He started to compose music when he was fifteen years old, he dreams of traveling around the world. He was enjoyed to communicate with people in different regions by sharing music!

這是從日本來的街頭藝人 Mr.Wally ，香港人應該他很熟悉，今天我經過灣仔，從地鐵莊士敦道那邊出口，一上扶手電梯便聽到悅耳的結他聲，心裡已經暗暗高興了一個，本星期主題是街頭藝人，這麼快便遇上了，走前去一看竟然是 Mr. Wally ，便馬上停下來拍照聽其演奏！

Mr. Wally 之所以受香港人歡迎，事原是因為他沒有香港身份證而被禁止在旺角的行人專用區表演，從他的訪問中知道他是一位對音樂非常有熱誠的年輕人，十五歲便開始作曲，夢想便音樂環遊世界，他喜歡透過分享音樂與不同地區的人交流！

"Where's Wally?" is a famous book of finding game. This young boy wearing Wally's cloth want the people can find his music in the city!

"Wally在那兒?"是一本很著名的找尋遊戲畫冊。這位年輕人打扮成Wally的模樣是想人們能在城巿裡找到他的音樂！

There is no law prohibiting buskers in Hong Kong. However, there are many laws that can be imposed against to the buskers if the police were determined to whom played instruments on the street without prior application to the Commissioner of Police. In fact, the police did prosecute buskers on such grounds as begging and making noise. Some of them even found guilty for prison three months!

In fact, this is a very satirical incident that took place in the modern city of Hong Kong. Without legislation, those monsters and fools could justifiably appear in the pedestrian precinct in Mong Kok. Other street performers risked their arrest. Someone else it is suggested that the government should use the licensing system and make reference to the practices of other advanced cities for approval.

Many cities around the world have buskers as an important tourist attraction, and buskers culture have even become an important cultural asset of that region!

在香港並無法例禁止街頭表演，可是如果事前沒向警務處處長申請而在街上奏玩樂器，而執法人員立心要對付街頭表演者，就有很多適用的法例，可被判監禁三個月。事實上，警方確曾以行乞、製造噪音等理由檢控表演者，當中更有人被判罪成。

其實這是非常諷刺的事件發生在香港這個現代的城巿，因為沒有立法，所以那些群魔亂舞就能名正言順地出現在旺角的行人專用區，其他的街頭表演者就要冒著被拘捕的危險，有人提出政府應該採用發牌制度，參考其他先進城巿的做法，進行審批！

全球很多城市都以街頭藝術為重要旅遊景點，街頭藝術文化甚至成為當地重要文化資產！
