A City A Story Photo Weekly Contest#11.2-【HOUSE】~小城故事相片比賽#11.2-【 房屋】

Mei Tung Estate was the first completed estate after the establishment of the Hong Kong Housing Authority in 1973. There are four buildings only, Mei Po House, Mei Tung House, Mei Yan House and Mei Tak House. The about photo show us all the shops was closed, but still have people living at there!

美東村是1973年香港房屋委員會成立後第一條建成的屋邨，只有四幢房屋，美寶樓、美東樓、美仁樓及美德樓。上面的照片顯示了所有的商店已經關閉，但仍然是有人居住在那裡的！

This is the 2nd building Mei Po House, seven-storey without lift, built in1983. The government was planning to rebuild this house soon. All the residents would be moving out at 2020. So if you go round Wong Tai Sin, please take more photos at there. They will disappear after 2020!

這是第二期美寶樓，七層高沒有電梯在1983年建築的， 政府正計劃重建這座房屋， 所有居民都會在二零二零年搬出去，所以如果你經過黃大仙，請多多拍照， 2020年之後他們便會消失！

This is the 1st building Mei Tung House, built in 1974, very special structure. The original design was an eight-storey house above the ground floor. Two of them were connected to each other. However, the government's reschedule land project was failure at that time, the plan was forcibly terminated. As a result, only one-storey built, it was a very special design.

這是第一期的美東樓，1974年落成，本來的設計是上面八層住宅，其中的兩層為連接各座，但由於當時的政府收地失敗，計劃被逼中止，因此形成只有兩層設計上層住宅下層商舖的奇怪現象。

There have a car park inside the estate only!

邨內只有一個停車場！
