Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Issue 25
Time again for another issue of Unlocking the Power of Chrome. Thanks again for stopping by and your continued support.
Many of the extensions that I have covered so far have had a very practical purpose or multiple features.
The extension I am going to cover today is basically a one-fer. It has a very specific purpose and there are not a lot of additional features to write to you about it.
For that reason, today's post is probably going to be a little shorter than some of the other ones in this series.
Panic Button Plus
This issue's extension is Panic Button Plus. You can add it to Chrome by visiting the Chrome Webstore here. The extension is offered by the company at this site.
Like I said earlier, Panic Button Plus has a very simple purpose.
Let's say you are surfing around on the Internet shopping for a present for your significant other. All the sudden, they come into the room. With a quick click of the extension in the extension tray or a keyboard shortcut, you can close all of your open tabs.
When the coast is clear you can then re-open all of the tabs you hid by clicking the extension again or using another keyboard shortcut. Pretty simple right? The practical uses are up to your discretion.

That's interesting - however, I do have a question. Does it have like settings you can change, so for instance when you press it, it opens a tab you had set up earlier which looks safe and neutral? Closing everything might be suspicious in its own right, and may leave more harm than good lol :P
Yes, you can. I apologize for not including that in the write-up. It is under the options section.
If you can read above where it says "set a safe page". You can add your own there. Thanks for the great comment!
Yeah, that makes it a super great tool! Always set the safe tab to a cat video! Cannot go wrong with that.

This seems like an excellent extension and will definitely be helpful when I'm buying fishing stuff from amazon when my girlfriend walks in (she doesn't think I need to buy anymore fishing stuff... what does she know?)
Now come on. Is there really such a thing as too much fishing stuff?

Not as much as I would like to. I maybe get out once a year. I am trying to plan a trip to Canada with my buddy to snag some perch.
Oh man. That will be a fun trip
For sure if I can figure out a time to do it. Some of the lake perch up there weight in at over 16 oz.
