Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Issue 24

in #chrome6 years ago

It's that time again for another edition of Unlocking the Power of Chrome. While I have gotten a lot of good feedback on this series, I'd like to see it grow even bigger.

If you know someone that uses Chrome and you think they could benefit from some of the extensions I have covered so far, please share this series with them. I'd like to be able to bring this to as many people as possible.

If you have been following me, you will remember a while ago I covered an extension called Session Buddy. It was recommended by @mandelsage and it has become an extension I use every day now.

OneTab

The extension that I am going to cover today is similar to Session Buddy. In my opinion, OneTab is a little simpler to use than SessionBuddy at the expense of some of the advanced features.

OneTab can be added to your Chrome browser by visiting the Chrome Webstore here. The developers also have a website that you can access here.

If you are the kind of web surfer that frequently has many tabs open, you may have noticed that it can slow down your browsing experience. OneTab allows you to collapse all of your tabs into a single list with the click of a button. OneTab claims collapsing your tabs can give you a 95% savings in your system memory allocation.

OneTab also has some additional features:

  • Easily export and import tabs
  • Drag and drop tabs in your list to reorder them
  • It saves your tab list if your browser closes or crashes

If you frequently have a ton of tabs open in your browser, OneTab might be just what you need to free up some space and resources. Follow the link and check it out when you get the chance!

This series was started as a project for #dolphinschool run by @markrmorrisjr / @dolphinschool. He is starting up a new session of the school. If you are new to Steemit, struggling with Steemit, or just want to learn more about Steemit, I encourage you to give it a look.

Cool... thanks for the heads-up... I'm one of those guys that has 100 tabs open (and multiple browsers too,,, but that's a sperate problem :P)

Hey, no problem. I hope it works out for you. I am with you. I usually have two Chrome windows and a Firefox window open all the time, with plenty of tabs open in each of them :)

wahahaha... Snap!

Congratulations! This post has been chosen as one of the daily Whistle Stops for The STEEM Engine!
